🧢 Check out the rfsleights merch: www.rfsleights... Hey guys! Here is a fun little tutorial for an awesome oil & water effect. I love the oil and water plot and this effect combines some of my favourite methods into a nice, hard hitting routine. I really appreciate you taking some time to watch this tutorial. It’s filled with details because needs to be. There is so much that goes into convincing sleight of hand and deception. I implore you to watch it all as even if you’re more experienced, there will be something for you to take away from this. Enjoy!

This video is more like a treatise on "Water and oil" than just a tutorial. excellent explanation filled with ideas at the end. The best "Water aid oil" tutorial yet. Congratulations Reid.

Thanks for showing you version of Oil and Water. Very nice! Your first two phases are somewhat similar to Bill Malone’s moves, except he uses 4 reds and 4 blacks. The moves for last two phases are very nice!

So very smooth Reid. Love your handling on these phases. I used to do a 6 card oil/water but main move was a bit clunky. I like this version a lot more. I'll try practicing this after work. Thanks so much-- Great stuff !!!!!

The last one is the best! Very nice methods and presentation of each one! I don't reach to the explanation yet but somehow I saw you made a pass (at 0.25x, obvious) in the 4th variation? Wow That was really impressive. I wasn't expecting that move there. I want to know that pass, I'm gonna learning right now. Very good Reid! Nice.

Hi Reid, I'm a new sub. A lot of magic channels out there, you are in my top 2!

Welcome man!! Thank you that means the world to me🙏🏻

@ReidFerry No, thank you. I'm assuming there is a ton of time and work we don't see that goes into your preparation, the filming, the editing in post... and all I can say is it pays off. Some channels can do the work, perform the sleight, but the explanations can seem frenetic or scatter brained. And that can make them seem down to earth. But also harder to learn from the video. You come across, SO POLISHED, it's ridiculous. But you don't have that sense of "you're better than your viewer." You are constructive, supportive, instructive, and you have a very approachable way about yourself. I wish you great success. On top of what you've already achieved. You're helping me to teach my son who is 10 and struggles with anxiety. And he just started a new school after 6 years at his previous school. So putting cards in his hands is a surrogate for a fidget spinner as I watch him do the sybil cut as he sits on the couch. So thank you. Thank you also for keeping your channel "clean" so I can watch your videos together with him.

@jakevaloff man that’s amazing thanks so much! Really means a lot that you notice all the work that goes in behind the scenes!
Best of luck with your boy! Glad magic is helping him and you both enjoy watching the videos. Let me know if there’s anything I can do

Combine that with sloppy shuffle seperating the entire deck into black and red

Usually I take all nines and eight and while I do it I Cull all the black like this at the end of the performance you can show all the deck is fully separated black and red just an idea 👍🏻
