I mean to be fair, roman got killed at the end of the game bc of the life niko lived. Kate saw that & how her brothers already were and wanted better for her life. Yeah it’s sad she did that, but she had to do what was best for her even tho she liked niko… it was a shitty move tho

It makes sense for Revenge Ending to be Canon: -Throughout the game, Niko has learned to never work with Dimitri, as he's still working for Ray Bulgarin. Even though he learned that revenge might not solve everything, Dimitri was an exception since he could strike Niko at any moment any where. -Pegorino being the final boss might not make sense, but he seemed to be the most powerful that Niko has ever met in Liberty City. Pegorino had Ray Boccino and Phil Bell working for him, and they themselves were powerful. -Doing the Deal might make something go wrong. Niko and Dimitri were clashing throughout the story, so there was a high chance Dimitri might pull something during the Deal. Niko doesn't even need the Money, as in that point of the story he's rich from the LC Bank Heist, along with doing favors for pretty much everyone.

Revenge is the sensible ending and should be canon, because why would Niko want to work with Dimitri again after everything he put he and his cousin through? That makes no logical sense at all, so Revenge is clearly the smarter option. At least in this ending, Niko still has Roman.
Katie even dumped Niko AFTER Roman death some days later. I completley understand it not Katie's fault and has reasons to dump Niko but come on. Staying with him and love him, comfort him is also an option 😞

Then you get Ghost Kate calling you about twenty times from an unknown number before sending you an email before she finally quits calling. Weird glitch, and I thought I was the only one to experience it before I searched it up.
When I first played gta4 I didn't know which choice led to which character's death. It was imminent to me that I should take the revenge option because of what Dimitri and Pegorino did to the Bellics before. GTA4 is a tragic story, I really think that the revenge route was canon because Niko wouldn't make a deal and trust someone who betrayed him once.
Tbf Pegorino hadn't done anything to Niko up to then, but trying to force into Niko to work with someone who had put him through so much in such a short space of time was wrong. He should have respected Niko's wishes.
Roman's such a good cousin and one of the most wholesome characters in GTA in my opinion. Absolutely love spending time with him and hanging out with him. Every time he got shot or almost die like the time he got kidnapped by Dimitri, I was BEGGING that he doesn't die. I'm glad I picked Revenge on my first playthrough. If I picked Deal, I'd be distraught.

Revenge ending is the most ideal, but Deal ending will always be the most realistic (and deserved for Niko, a killer and people trafficker).
