I am not comparing Lorenzo with Federer, but Musetti is the 2nd smoothest player next to the greatest. Lorenzo moves so beautifully and his backhand really is quite elegant and still improving. Indoors and grass are a challenge for him.
Musetti's form is still a bit rigid compared to Roger, who played as if totally relaxed. I would say Roger's elegance was a bi-product of his playing mentality and approach, whereas Musetti is actually hampered by his form a little. He's more elegant but less effective. He gets steamrolled because he doesn't have the easy power many other players can generate.
@PAWS & HANDS - Certainly does look smooth, but remember the player everybody used to call Baby Fed? That of course would be Grigor Dimitrov. Had strokes almost identical to Fed, but results were nowhere near what Roger’s were.
Comparing his forehand and backhand I notice he´s striking the ball much earlier with his backhand than with his forehand. Looks as if he´s losing much time for his fairly unique swing movement on the forehand before he is able to move the racket forward towards the ball.
No one can be compared to Roger. Lorenzo is elegant, but it's better if we don't make this comparison. Perhaps Dimitrov is quite similar, but in the end Roger is unique.
@@tdc_2021 I only use a WPS 85 30 year old frame and pure gut strings @ 35 lbs with weights on 12 3 6 9 and leather vibration dampeners and rubber bands at 6 o’clock. I’ve tried the newer rackets like the Yonex and it’s so so much easier to play with them.
@@alejandropikoulasplata5524 I know, but it requires too much energy, his strokes lose Power and increases injury risk Stef is suffering even more with his balance in backhand. He needed a surgery in his elbow, I believe because of this
The single hander backhand is the most beautiful and natural thing in tennis.
Génial de filmer juste derrière tu vois bien les effets et le jeu de jambes 🎾👏👏👏💙
Superbe les ralentis à la fin , avec l’ambiance sonore 20 000 lieux sous les mers !

the moment you put the greatest's name in there you kinda have compared them :)

@@missourimanful It's always a mind thing. I don't expect anyone else play like Roger. Lorenzo is smooth but lacks the natural gifts.
FH is junky up close. Too stiff.
Love Musetti tennis😍
Lorenzo Musetti one-handed backhand 🤩😍...
The pros are amazing how well they watch the ball
❤❤❤
Ce joueur avec thiem, le top !
How is he, in this day and age, still able to use a correct forehand grip? I thought forehand grip correctness had become completely obsolete.

Lorenzo vs Lorenzo
He is so handsome

Awesome player, but he needs more power to get some slams
Exactly, and unfortunately i think with that grip on the forehand he will never have It!
@@luigitempini7789 the grip is not the problem, it never is and I think he just has to put on more muscle for power
@@lemieltaira Federer wasn't muscle bound. Neither is Djokovic

I only watch single backhand players, more variety backhand, more exciting techniques
Smooth but stiff. doesn’t get into his shots as easy/quick as he could
Silky
Nice peach.
his strokes are very stiff, robot like
Anyone else hear the whales mating in the background?
Jesus loves you
Beautiful gamestyle a shame he is wearing Nike gear.
He deserves to be wearing Armani or Lacoste
where is the elegant part? seems pretty robotic to me.
Boring. Robotic. Baseline only. Rackets and strings doing the work.
So you could do it with the same racket and string setup?

it’s called practice. and he does go to the net at least once in the video

I really don't like his backhand. He doens't get the right balance
A few can have a very balance backhand like Federer or Wawrinka
