@@recentmap7268 not really a expert about such things, but it was a "small" swordfight between those 2 Yanqinq used his normal swords and even ride on it, while Yunli was swinging and throwing OLD METTLE and just when they both go for the next strike they got stopped by general feixiao with her TWO fingers, cute side was Yunli still going and Not reallize she got blocked by her again im not a expert but i hope you got some info from this 😶😶
The deformed part is a shout to the anime Bocchi the Rock. Similar style but not the same reasons. Also the hammer and slab part is another reference to mirtal art street shows, and it is done by Guinaifen, a IRL live streamer in game, and her friend Sushang, who died lol.
Yunli is a young weaponsmith from the Xianzhou Zhuming and the granddaughter of the Zhuming's General Huaiyan. Even at her young age, she is already one of the Flamewheel Octet, an elite group of blacksmiths under General Huaiyans' direct supervision and training. Yunli is a very impulsive and reckless girl, often choosing to charge directly into things, and her way of speaking can very often come off as combative and hostile to other people. Her grandfather also tends to dote on her and not scold or discpline her appropriately, making her become spoiled in some senses. Despite this, Yunli also has a strong sense of justice and duty, and she is a very talented fighter. She prefers to end things quickly in one brutal strike, and she is apparently capable of lifting objects that weigh a few hundred pounds with ease. She also has the ability to communicate with weapons and she can be seen talking with her favorite sword, 'Old Mettle', which is a giant sword much bigger than herself, during combat. Yunli treats her friends very well, but if she doesn't like someone, she will make it known from the very beginning. Yunli has a dark past. Her father, also a very good blacksmith, wanted to make a famous name for himself, so he decided to forge swords imbued with heliobi. Heliobi in HSR are basically the equivalent of evil spirits. The swords her father forged could turn ordinary fighters into legendary swordsmen overnight, but using these 'cursed' swords would corrupt the soul of the person using them, twisting their personality so much that they would become insane. Yunli's parents were killed because few of these crazed swordmen went on a rampage in the area around her home. Yunli, unfortunately, was also there, and personally saw her parents fall before her eyes. Though she was rescued, the scars still run deep. Yunli has made it her mission to track down every cursed sword her father forged in order to destroy them. Her obsession with this goal, however, often leads her to making rash decisions.
The hammer thing is the red haired girl is a street performer and one of the things she does is smashing things on the other girl's chest. I think there's a real-world equivalent to that sort of sideshow demo? Anyway, yeah, Yunli landing on her was not intended. Yunli is actually a swordmaster from one of the other locations in the game but in the story she's visiting for an event. She just...is barefoot for some reason and I guess like's perching on things so I can see how you got the vagabond street urchin vibe.
The hammer thing is supposed to be a showcase of a Shaolin martial technique to "harden the self" and make your body as hard/strong as iron. You can google 硬气功 images to find various ways they use to showcase this - apparently walking against a spear until it snaps is a more common showcase than the hammer though.
Yunli's design is based on the Tang Dynasty Dunhuang Feitian (Flying Apsaras). This is important to mention because many people simply assume that Yunli being bare foot is just some anime fetish appeal. It's not. Yunli is a Swordmaster from one of the other Xianzhou Aliance ships. She is a bit more aloof and carefree in her off time so being out and about like that is on brand for her. But no, she's not some random street kid. The red hair girl with the hammer is Guinaifen, and the girl under the stone slab is Sushang. They are best friends and were about to perform a street performance act. Guinaifen is a street performer and social media person.
Yunli is basically cat in human form (figuratively speaking), so she just like napping on high warm places. She has legit place to stay, she just doesn't this time. Also definitelly should check Feixiao short "Taking it Easy", maybe her character trailer too, but definitelly that animated short.
Not my favorite trailer, but still very fun. Apparently theere were a lot of cinematic references, but idk enough to catch all them. Great reaction vid btw

She was saved by Bailu right at the end there. You can see them three in background when Yunli gets her snack
@@Jackie_Tikki_Tavi I missed that but that is great!
@@EnderDragonoth Died, fortunately local dragon necromancer resurrected her!

I think the "sleeps and perches on random high places" thing is partly there to give her cat vibes.

It's not really clear for those who don't know characters well, but in closing scene two girls from chase scene are seeing doctor in the background.
Can't wait for the Jiaoqiu and Feixiao reactions! I think you'll like both very much :3

Yunli is as much a fetish as Jade was in the trailer before hers, just like it was also a reference to something, it’s also sexualized.
