    Thanks Steve this was unbelievably helpful for me as i'm recovering from a 4 year knee injury with numerous cartilage problems and i recently had my ACL reconstructed from my hamstring tendons, so I needed various hamstring exercises and this video was great, keep it up!!!!

  • @bkb04g
    @bkb04g 5 лет назад +1

    I’m all about function.
    So when I do deadlifts, I choose a stance that will mimic a movement from my daily activities. For me, that’s the ‘conventional’ stance and double overhand grip. Imo, the most taxing, yet effective, approach to deadlifts.

    Steve I had a LCA surgery, do you think if i’m going to improve my hamstrings, will my knee get better?

    • @thorinmalaka4589
      @thorinmalaka4589 5 лет назад +2

      Ronny Riccio most likely. This question is very complex though and you should consult with an expert to be certain

    • @seanberg9816
      @seanberg9816 5 лет назад +1

      Assuming that you are talking about the Anterior Cruciate Ligament, generally speaking yes. The ACL is an example of a passive knee stabiliser whilst the hamstring is an active knee stabiliser. If you have a deficit with your passive stability you should make up for it with active stability. However depending on when your surgery was, you need to a slow and progressive recovery program to return to sport/activity.
      Most atheltes in professional rugby take between 9 and 24 months before return to play.
      Speak to a sports orientated physio/physical therapist before you attempt a workout like this to ensure your knee health and safety and taken into account
