Big Sean's verse is still one of his best of all time. It just so happens to be followed by Kendrick & Jay dropping verses so insane they shook hip hop
Can't believe people still think this was a diss. He's even admitted he was just joking around and it's all love. If anything it was a diss to the people who he didn't call out...
Derrick Abrams Drake's a soft bitch so of course he took it personal. The other niggas kept it moving because they knew it was true joke or not 💯💯💯 Drake don't even write his own raps. He not even hip hop in my opinion so he don't matter
It wasn't a diss it was just a challenge for artists to start putting in work. It's just competition. It's been in hip hop since the genre became popular.
+Jo No yea i noticed that on black friday by jcole too and at first i was like eh. but if you listen closely the words before "nigga" in black friday rhyme too. I like both black firday songs equally tho.
that song was good, i just personally think kendrick is one of the best lyricists and rappers overall. IMO he was a really good ability to just take over any song he appears on, take Solo Dolo pt 2 with kid cudi from Indicud for example, or buried alive interlude from take care. Jays verse isnt bad on control, but coming in right after kendrick just killed it, theres just no topping it
I actually think Jay Elec had the best verse when I listen to this now. Kendrick's energy and the fact that he called out rappers in a pivotal time in Hip Hop makes his verse standout, IMO.
The song’s hook, “El Pueblo Unido Jamas Sera Vencido” Loosely translated means, “The People United Shall Never Be Defeated” Now I’ve listened to this song since it dropped, and don’t get me wrong, all three represented. But, JE imho, spit the most introspective verse of the three.
Big Sean is such a G for letting hip-hop be Hip Hop!!!!!! He could have been a punk, and change his verse but he didn't. And Kendrick thank you for giving hip hop an adrenaline shot. I salute both of you young Brothers and so does The Hip Hop Nation!!!!
I remember when this was released. Everyone lost their shit because of Kendrick , his verse went viral on social media. At that point, I knew he will be the greatest of all time and look at him now. To Pimp A Butterfly is a timeless masterpiece. He became more and more extrovert in this music like DAMN...He is such an unique artist and the way he expresses himself through different characters in his songs takes you back to places you haven't been in a long time..like I'm so grateful to have him in this mainstream music generation.

facts
Yeah it was 💯
Real shit
@@eike599 ye nigga, you've elevated. You're so smart cuz you appreciate a fucken verse.
lol it's a great verse but shut the fuck up "grow in consciousness" you sound like a whole ass fucking goofy my guy
Sean killed this
I love 90s music but this song will forever be a classic in hip hop. IDC what no one says.
Big Sean went crazy. No wonder Kendrick snapped
Dude Kendrick went MAAD hard on this shit!
Damn I aint heard this in a while
Same here
***** agreed
Dude he didn't diss anybody... He said he's tryin to destroy the best n listed Sean in that so he's lettin' him know he's after his spot....
***** O.o lol
Leroy Jasper still relevant
Jay Electronica verse is so underrated, the metaphors he uses are fire 🔥🔥🔥
Big Sean's verse is still one of his best of all time. It just so happens to be followed by Kendrick & Jay dropping verses so insane they shook hip hop
Can't believe people still think this was a diss. He's even admitted he was just joking around and it's all love. If anything it was a diss to the people who he didn't call out...
Drake took it personal
Derrick Abrams Drake's a soft bitch so of course he took it personal. The other niggas kept it moving because they knew it was true joke or not 💯💯💯 Drake don't even write his own raps. He not even hip hop in my opinion so he don't matter
Its drake tho he a butthurt as nigga
+Derrick Abrams nobody give a fuck about drake....nigga getting bodied by Joe fucking Budden
It wasn't a diss it was just a challenge for artists to start putting in work. It's just competition. It's been in hip hop since the genre became popular.
If Kendrick and jcole beefed the world would split into two
+Romy Taylor same
+Jo No yea i noticed that on black friday by jcole too and at first i was like eh. but if you listen closely the words before "nigga" in black friday rhyme too. I like both black firday songs equally tho.
Kendrick would obliterate him.
Now Kendrick vs Big Krit/Vince Staples/Mick Jenkins/Lupe Fiasco/Joey Badass/etc......that would be something.
Not really , it would end in a week
+Logan Wendt Kendrick would murder Vince staples Vic Mensa
you gotta feel bad for Jay electronica, having to do a verse after kendrick like God damn
***** you sleep
***** how is he better lyrically then
that song was good, i just personally think kendrick is one of the best lyricists and rappers overall. IMO he was a really good ability to just take over any song he appears on, take Solo Dolo pt 2 with kid cudi from Indicud for example, or buried alive interlude from take care. Jays verse isnt bad on control, but coming in right after kendrick just killed it, theres just no topping it
I said the same about Cole in black Friday
Matthew Kyle nah, Jay had the best verse on here
7 years later Kendrick verse still a classic
Jay Electronica WILL get his credit!
Kendrick Lamar- Control feat Big Sean & Jay electronica
SUICIDEBOMBERS ASSOCIATION 😂😂😂
SUICIDEBOMBERS ASSOCIATION 😂😂
W
LOL such bullshit. Big Sean's verse was WAY better than Kendrick's.
Shiftless Lazycrat 😂😂😂 this is Kendrick’s Song bitch boy
I actually think Jay Elec had the best verse when I listen to this now. Kendrick's energy and the fact that he called out rappers in a pivotal time in Hip Hop makes his verse standout, IMO.
Big Sean verse is so underrated , but Him and Kendrick slidddd 🥰
This song took over 2013 summer. Literally was the talking point of the entire summer.
Here after kendrick dropped “Euphoria”🔥🤯
This is why Jay Electron is mad at Kendrick. 2:59-5:59 and then after that, almost everybody stops playing the song.
Extra salt, no fries

Who’s here in 2024? Post Dot v. Graham 💀😂😂
The song’s hook, “El Pueblo Unido Jamas Sera Vencido”
Loosely translated means, “The People United Shall Never Be Defeated”
Now I’ve listened to this song since it dropped, and don’t get me wrong, all three represented. But, JE imho, spit the most introspective verse of the three.
KHova 73 no
I would say Sean's arguably was aside from a little bit of swag rappin he had in there.
Lootroq stfu dude
@@erickcervantes2972 ya pisapu lol
I agree though Jay's verse was the best one
I like jays verse and all but god damn Kendricks verse was so energetic like you can feel the aggressiveness in his voice
Jay Elec killed that 🔥🔥🔥
To all magicians that's fidgeting with the cobra. God mc
So many years and kendrick's part still makes my soul shiver
I remember when this was released. Everyone lost their shit because of Kendrick , his verse went viral on social media. At that point, I knew he will be the greatest of all time and look at him now. To Pimp A Butterfly is a timeless masterpiece. He became more and more extrovert in this music like DAMN...He is such an unique artist and the way he expresses himself through different characters in his songs takes you back to places you haven't been in a long time..like I'm so grateful to have him in this mainstream music generation.
merve cara get off
Hell yeah "lost their shit" perfect description. Its all anybody was talking about the next day at school too haha
Rest In Peace Mac Miller. God damn I respect you and Kendrick did as well ! I hope to meet you in the other life mac.
Undeniably one of the best hip hop/ rap verses
