Supercool! I deliberately bought a high mileage 964 jubi so I can drive it without feeling any guilt or pity about adding miles. I love every mile and regret none 😊
At 145K sounds like low milage to me, but to each his own. I have 177K on my 993 Turbo. The bay area is very mild weather for cars. (virtually) No snow, no salt.
Agree. It's 2024! I would consider 145K low milage. Any car with lower than 145K was a garage queen sitting for years in a garage. I bought my 1996 993 in 2007 with 94K miles, now has 195K. Love it. Has the immobilizer--maybe I'm just used to it but no problem for me.
A Custumor drives a Porsche 993 produced 1995 with more than 372 km ( 231 mls ) in Germany with the first engine. He ist the first owner of this car and it still looks beautiful.
I had a 95 C2 and a 96 C4S at the same time in 2002. Great cars. My C4S had 120K Miles on it when i bought it..one owner, a woman who was a Dr. in Scottsdale AZ., fully papered, serviced where she bought it in Scottsdale. No problems if taken care of, fully serviced and never tracked.
For a quick moment, thought this was your old Polar Silver 993, Will. This one certainly does not present like it has 145K miles on the clock. Appreciated the review and really like the collab with Nathan,
Nice. I've a 1996 993 C2 iris blue metallic, 66,000 miles, 6-speed manny tranny, varioram, LSD. No CEL, no oil leaks. Multi-show full-concours winner. I do my own maintenance. I'm never selling it.
Omg what a great video! I learned so much. Im a genuine 911 enthusiast. Im leaning towards a 993 now. I love the C4S wide body look. Especially with the twist rims. The higher mileage 911 well preserved is what I’m after
The 911 is generally a very reliable car. Specifically, the non-turbo variants. However, a Porsche with mileage is going to need service. Buy the buyer. It's like picking a mate. Know its history and where he/she has been.
I've wanted a 993 for years. Sadly the prices are just too high for me to pay. This one sold for $76k on BaT. And it's a high milage, driver quality car with paintwork.
Not sure why people get so caught up in driving and putting mileage on desirable 911s. They are meant to be driven and not sitting around collecting dust. To each their own. Just drive.
excellent video! Current owner of 1998 996 and strongly considering a 993-air cool, curious as to how much approximately will cost to repair that oil leak? Great content as usual. Thanks
This car seems to have brought a crazy amount of money with 6-owners, 145k miles, and paintwork. I sold a 1995 Carrera 4 Coupe in Polar Silver on BAT at the beginning of the year and it only brought $90k …….1-owner, no paintwork, and 52k miles. I guess that’s just the way it goes but I’m having a hard time understanding why there was only a $13k delta between the 2 cars 🤔
Some are concerned by that, some aren’t. For me, if I were looking at a car like this, I would buy on condition given that it’s a driver, not a collectible. If I were looking at something that was more minty and newer, it might concern me a bit not because the number of owners would necessarily indicate there’s something wrong with it but when I go to sell I will have that question asked of me and would perhaps miss out on buyers bc of it.
Great car! I anyone wants to swap his 94/95 C2 Manual Coupe for a great 87 'no stories' G50 Coupe ex Swiss, no sunroof with just 156K Miles, Baltic blue, LSD...let me know. I'm based in Belgium, and have references in the USA. You need to visit Spa Francorchamp, 2.30 hour drive from Nurburgring, anyway once in your live time
Porsches are built to be driven, forget about mileage and concentrate on the condition and service history, they will tell you if it's been looked after.
haha best i can do with what I’ve got. I had flown from NC to WA and then went right over and shot this video. No time to get made up for you. Pay attention to the car, not my hair. 😂
@@Rennthusiast Only messing. Great video as always, thanks. Dispelled some of my worries about the 130k miles on my 993, and good advice on where to look for those common leaks.
A great rule of thumb with any used 911 is "buy the seller" and Nathan is the ideal kind of seller to buy from. Great video.
Can we just take a moment to admire that Arena Red beauty in the background?!?!
Yes, a gorgeous car…C2S as well.
Supercool! I deliberately bought a high mileage 964 jubi so I can drive it without feeling any guilt or pity about adding miles. I love every mile and regret none 😊
This is exactly the route I hope to go someday.

@@robertcrocker901 Yeah, the immobilizer has never been an issue for me either. Not sure what the fuss is about.
i have 120k miles on my daily 993 C2 - not high mileage at all! so tight and solid :)

Great video and very timely for me as I start my journey in Texas looking for a 993.
What a trip. I was already looking at this car. On BAT... I really really like it

You’ll love the next one we did together. It compares the 993 to the 996….
@@Rennthusiast gotta stick with round headlights. Could have and should have grabbed a 996 C4S for $27k 2 owner during Covid…. 50,000 miles
That arena red 993 is awesome! I have an arena red sonderwunsch 1998 build 996. Such an underrated color!
00:05 the BEST bang for you buck in the Porsche 911 world is that silver beauty in the background (NOT the 928). My X50 is a ROCKET SHIP.
only the rims other than that all perfect i love the 993 😍

saw this car in person on Tuesday, looks ike a great driver

as someone who owns a 911sc with 220k+ miles, 145k doesn't sound all that high
That sound!

excellent review and advice from Nathan
SAI is an easy fix - I cleaned out the ports and replaced the SIA pump thing - so corroded

a quote from outside a San Francisco coffee with 2 Porsche guys:"Oil is cheap"
The car sold for $77,000.
Plus fees
Great video, nice car, would buy if I had the money
Just pull teeth or sell houses that dont belong to you. Thank me later.
"High miles"? WHAT? That's nothing.
This is an old Porsche, super solid car. Not a Ferrari!
Nice driver for sure

Not to mention a base gasket ‘replacement’ that will cost over $30k. That’s a full motor rebuild.
you two looks like brothers
Maybe we are distant cousins.
So how much did this get sold for?
around 76K USD, if I recall. correctly
May this beautiful 993 live a happy life in the hands of dentist or a real estate broker.
STOP SAYING HIGH MILEAGE!!!!! perfect car to tweak to your own and drive the snot out of :)
When’s your 86 going on Bat?
It’s not. I’ll bet anyone any amount of money that car will not go to BaT. And not sure if you watched this vid but this 993 is not mine.
Should buyers be concerned with the number of owners? This specific car has had 6 owner's.
Some are concerned by that, some aren’t. For me, if I were looking at a car like this, I would buy on condition given that it’s a driver, not a collectible.

you are saying this to a guy who sells a Porsche because he doesnt want to put more miles on it.
MAX $50K not worth much more given its history and present condition - but there are people that will pay $60K all day. Not me, I know better.
It will top $70K
I disagree and believe it should not be that much. There are other 993's in better condition with less mileage and no body work
I disagree. The paint does not match.
I hear you, but I was standing right in front of it and I felt it matched. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
