Oh dear... we love the chill feel and clean art of Tokaido and Namiji, but I do not like the 2 player variant, so I was eagerly awaiting availability of this game since hearing about it way back at the beginning of 2023! I saw it came in at a board game store in a nearby city just before we were going to go there to visit family and so I called to put a copy on hold and picked it up while down there! Now a bit concerned that it may not be as chill as I expect... oh well, it'll go under the tree and we'll have to find out! Thanks for the video!
Yes, we were a little disappointed it's not as chill as we expected - but it's not the kind of intense competition that is in most 2-player-only games, either. The more we play it, the better it feels. :)
