    I feel like it’s hard to just ask for these tests in the US :( but I’m happy I’m learning which tests to ask for if I can get those tests done

      Check out Ulta Labs. They don’t take insurance, but you can order almost anything you want!

    • @blewprent
      @blewprent Год назад +1

      They definitely wont order them just because you ask. You have to just pay cash for them from a lab.

      @unnamed2737 Год назад +3

      Go to a walk in lab and order what you want. Fun fact: when you don’t waste money on insurance and doctors who don’t want to heal anything, you have the money to order your own blood tests, find the root cause of your issues, and heal them yourself.

    This video is exactly what I've been talking about recently 👏im struggling to lose weight even eating healthy & exercising with a PT. I'm 39 so obviously I know hormones are changing, doc won't test me for them! Is there a private company you would recommend for blood tests? X

    • @EbonyJaneNutrition
      @EbonyJaneNutrition  2 года назад +5

      For standard blood tests medichecks is really good or if you want a comprehensive hormone test a saliva test like the DUTCH test would be best :) maybe also check for insulin resistance and thyroid function both can cause difficulty with loosing weight ❤️❤️ xx

      @@EbonyJaneNutrition I had blood tests done in February. B12 extremely low, I'm anemic to begin with, folic acid low, vitamin d low etc it's an absolute minefield trying to get answers out of docs.... This has really helped me get head around stuff.... Going to see if I can log on or get a print off of my blood tests from Feb!
      Also I have mirena coil in I'm assuming that could be affecting alot of things too? thank you for the reply 🙏🏼🥰x

      If you are ever being denied tests or treatment, tell them you want it in writing in your records, on your receipt, on your My Chart, and anywhere else they have records for that you were denied. They usually will go ahead and do it anyway because if they were wrong and what they didn't test you for turned out to be really bad for you (life changing in bad ways, life threatening...) you can sue. So they will generally go ahead and do it.

      @@EbonyJaneNutrition Hi, 56yr old white male, height/weight proportionate. My Thyroid Panel shows that my TSH, T4, & FREE T4 Index, are all mid-range, but my T3 UPTAKE is high at 37 (range = 22-35). Ive never had a low or high marker on any bloodwork, for any parameter, Ive ever had. What does the high T3 UPTAKE mean, what can be causing it, and how can I rectify it? Thanks

    what doctor should we see that could specialize in doing these test?

    • @EbonyJaneNutrition
      @EbonyJaneNutrition  Год назад +4

      for blood tests you can see if your general practitioner (GP) can do the testing (this is what this video is more geared towards advice for). In the US I know it is more common to go to a gynecologist instead of your general practitioner. If you are looking for more in depth testing into your hormones or gut for example i.e DUTCH test or a GI MAP you would need to go by a registered practitioner who works with functional testing (like myself - I am a nutritional therapist or aka naturopathic nutritionist) - if you feel totally lost let me know specifically which tests you are looking to do and I will tell you who will be the most helpful to you xx

    If I'm limited in costs, I'm in my 30s, I have severe hormonal acne in the jawline and neck area, I've been treated by a dermatologist with topical cream and doxycycline but it's not getting better, what hormone blood test is the most important thing to do to check the hormonal imbalance? Cause I'm limited in costs and can't do all of it. Is DHEA and progesterone test enough to determine this hormonal imbalance?

      If limited in costs, don't worry about the tests for now, just start changing your diet, keto, perhaps cut out commercial dairy products and that in general in 6 months time you should see results, the acne itself is an indication that there is something wrong dont worry about the tests now

      They dont test because it isnt accurate. Hormones fluctuate and can give a false reading eith3r too high or too low at different time of the month during perimenopause@askbob2009
