- The late '50s and '60s were a wonderful time for British motorsport. We had iconic GT and Saloon cars such as the Aston Martin DB4GT, Lotus Cortina and Lotus Elite competing at the hands of some of the greatest drivers of all time. Era Motorsport ran an example of all of these cars at the 80th Members' Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport and we followed their journey throughout.
This is the first in our new series of Goodwood Masters powered by Motul. There will be a new episode every week, so make sure to subscribe to see more great motorsport stories.

It's a nice change of pace to see the cars in the shop in various phases of preparation. Would prefer more of that, actually.
That videography is superb, really talented lads behind the camera - production value at another level, sure wish they had more content from those videographers.
Mr Tilley: Of much interest, so do please tell us when and where Sir Stirling Moss drove the Aston Martin ’17 TVX’. Then from the quote, "Roy Salvadori drove it a lot" please advise, in addition to the single occasion at a minor meeting at Snetterton in March 1961, the many more occasions when Salvadori drove this car, DB4GT/0151/R…As surely the historic experts at Goodwood will have verified the dialogue during the editing stage?
Does anyone know what wheels are those that the Ford Cortina carries, they weigh so little? What tire width measurements do they have? Thank you.
I think that older gentlemen was speaking English, but I'm not sure.
I can see an obvious way to to shed several kilos from those cars.
All Talk NO ACTION
Not necessary……
There are more than enough vids showing action. Some of us can appreciate the shop talk and seeing the cars up on jacks.
