Thanks so much....I really love it My question is how one get the measurements.....are we using the normal of size of what we want to use it for or we will still add some inches aside from d extral 3 inches added initially
this video makes it seem so easy! I love that you just tied the thread together with your hands, instead of another stitch. Also, is there a difference between the north american smocking and canadian smocking? Do the arrows look different in the pattern?
Is there any technique to get the reverse pattern? Like, I want to obtain the design which is there on the back side, but I don't want the stitches to be seen.
Haven’t tried this myself but this MIGHT work. You can draw the grid on the other side of fabric and try to stitch from behind so knots and thread ends are not visible on the side that you want to be the visible side.
@@SewingByAnita Thank you for the response. That was the first thing that occurred to me also. I tried it but the result is 'actual pattern on the back side of fabric'. I feel there would be some technique and logic to reverse the grid itself to bring the reverse pattern.
Absolutely Beautiful. 😊
Thank you! 😊
I’m going to try this on a pillow top. Thank you
How did u know the measurements for the back side of the cushion cover

3 inches extra is extra for sewing cushion cover.

No difference between North American smocking and Canadian smocking.

You uesed a 48*33 sized fabric for the smoking and the end product was 16*16?
Many tanks.
Yes.
Can I do this on actual clothes? If yes how many times do I need to multiply the fabric to accommodate my pattern?
You can do it with any fabric.
How do u attach a fastener to the back
Can u use Ogandi and Oganza to do Canadian smocking
Fabric choice is yours.
nice share links for other design too and also show how to draw grid on fabric
Check the Canadian smocking playlist please and you can view all the videos.
I love this video so much
Thank you
Why you sew 4 sides, then how will you insert pillow or how will the right side be in front???
The back has two pieces that overlap. So there is an opening between them. The pillow cover is turned inside out via that opening.
How to calculate the fabric needed?
Nice and wonderful
Thank you
