This would be more interesting if it didn't skip the 11 minutes between nothing and flames.

From the timestamp on this video, it was 7 minutes, from the time the first emergency vehicle rolled up, til the time the first truck arrived on scene. And that's only what we can see. So not that far off from your 5 minutes. And pretty good for a volunteer department. Damn good, in fact. I've seen volleys take a hell of a lot longer. Not their fault, of course, especially in a rural area.
(Just in case anyone wasn't aware, volunteer firefighters don't stay at the firehouse. They're summoned from home, or wherever they happen to be, by a pager or radio. THEN they go to the firehouse, suit up, and pick up apparatus. They have to do that before they can head to the scene. [Except in rare cases I've seen, where someone brings the apparatus to the scene, and someone meets them there and suits up there. But even in those cases, the first guy still had to do all of the above.] That's why, especially in a rural area where things are far apart, they sometimes take a while to arrive. Of course, even a paid department could take a while to get somewhere in a rural area. But they start with the advantage of already being at the firehouse, and being able to head straight to the scene.)
But yeah, this was a pretty quick response, and knockdown. Good job, ladies and gents.
