I've found the regular loop leaves a mark on the material that washes out of "most" materials. They call it hoop burn. The magnetic one doesn't. I found that using the magnetic one speeds up the hooping process with a lot less frustration.
I'll tell you a fantastic secret now. I simply cover the frame of the hoop with fabric. Then I cut a hole inside the size of the hoop. Like in the dimensional film of the hoop. I stitch the hole along the edges, for strength. And I always attach any fabric with small needles to the fabric along the edges of the hoop. I don't spare the needles, I attach them every 3-4 cm. That's it! Universal hoops are ready for any fabric. And you don't need to spend up to $500 on these unreliable hoops with magnets! I wrapped all the hoops in fabric like this. Of all sizes.

Felicia for teacher of the year! This is so cool! Cannot believe how well the hoop works. This looks so awesome
Thank you 😊
Great video. What are the benefits of using the magnetic hoop opposed to the regular 5x7 hoop?

All of your crafts turn out so amazing! Do you ever have to remake things off camera? Or are you just THAT GOOD?!
We make tons off camara and even sell things in our Etsy store. www.etsy.com/shop/FamilyUnitOriginals
That's a great idea!!!
Glad you think so!
Thank you for the video. Would this be the same magnetic hoop that would work with the SE2000? If not which hoop do your recommend?
Yes it will work. Enjoy!
I have 2800D . That hoop will work?
Not sure. I’m not familiar with the 2800D.
have you ever had a problem with it pulling out the needle? If so, how did you remedy that?
Haven’t had that issue yet.
Have you tried this with a quilt sandwich? Will it hold those thicker layers?
Hi. Haven’t tried that yet. I’m still learning. 😊
@@craftwithfelicia I bought one and it works great!! I think the recommendation was to stay under 60 inches though :)
