What a elegant looking trick! I told someone who asked me what I was doing on my bike and I said, "I'm swing dancing and the bike is my partner." Seems legit.

One of my favourites. Especially when you get the balance and sit there coasting. It is super fun🤙

This was one of the tricks I never picked up back in the day. However, I might have to try attempting/learning this again soon. :)

Hey Scott, I tried learning G-Turns years ago and could never quite figure them out. I had rockwalks dialed (without brakes) so the front wheel 180 part was easy enough but watching you and others now it looks like I had the timing of the front braking wrong. Looks like you're braking a lot sooner than I always though you were supposed to. I was under the impression that you were meant to wait till about half way through the 180 before quickly tapping the brake but you look to be braking much sooner and holding it on for a bit longer than that.

Hey Keith, I only use the brake to stop going straight over the handlebars! The best ones don't use brakes. But a WAY scarier.
Being able to do a rock walk is a great start. With the g-turn, the back of your bike needs to go way up higher. If you go too high and you have done the 180, you'll go straight over the handlebars. This is when I tap the front brake.
So you need to find that middle ground between your back wheel being too low-you'll come out and be able to do the rock walk.
Or your back wheel being too high-you'll come out going over the handlebars.
This is where you need to shift your body around so you can find that middle ground and roll.
I don't know if this makes any difference?
      Cheers man 🤙

@@bmxbanditdude Thanks for the reply Scott, I haven't actually ridden for a fair while but was planning to soon, depending on the weather. I can see what you mean about them being scarier without brakes, I used to do flail boomerangs brakeless sometimes but they always felt better when tapping the brakes.
I've got some vids of my riding a few years back on my channel, feel free to check them out.
