First of all, Ive been following Brandon here on RUclips for a number of years. From your impressions to No Small Parts. Secondly I believe her long life could be credited to work. She obviously enjoyed it, and purpose I believe extends your life.
Delightful story, I always love the looks at these familiar faces with unfamiliar names, and how each one has a life and a story behind it. Makes the world feel just a little bit smaller in a wonderful way.
The first time I saw her was in a show called “Maybe It’s Me.” She pretty much played the same character she always had but she played the role of grandma with a lot of rizz very well. Then I remember seeing her popping up in a lot of tv and movies. She’s one of those character working actor you see everywhere and smile in delight because you recognize her from a small tv role.
What a husband! I do not mean to discount her and her talent, because obviously she is the talented star. However, to see a husband of an such an older generation be so supportive of his wife's career and fame - even if she wasn't A-list, Brad Pitt level famous, she WAS famous. With many men in today's generation pushing the red pill nonsense, and women-are-wives-and-mothers BS (she also never had children, I just hope this wasn't because she couldn't), it's refreshing to see a man from that time period be more forward thinking than many of the men today.
Man, if they had ever done a live action Hey Arnold, she would've been perfect for Arnold's grandma. She has the same manic energy.
She said the thing! No Small Parts!
She lived a rich life, that's for sure. Good for her.
We love a supportive husband! Glad you made this video.
Ellen is the GOAT. I love her in Sister Act. What a legend.
Vote for me and I'll set you free...
I love the fact that her role was so memorable that eventually in the musical her character had been reworked to have a bigger role.
I love Ellen Dow, and that she led a lengthy career well into her 90s. Her rapping in "The Wedding Singer" always makes me crack up. 😅
She was an absolutely adorable and endearing lady full of talent ❤
Cold Case is my favorite show, and it was cool to see the rapping grandma from my favorite movie in it
God, she was on every TV show in the 80s and 90s. I remember her from Golden Girls, and of course, the Wedding Singer.
Man im in tears, wailing like a baby at the end once the her song came on. She was in so many things i watched. You're never too old to dream

Such a fun lady.
I love her in The Wedding Singer! This was a really nice video going over her career. I love these videos you make about character actors.
Great stuff.
What a great video! I always wondered about her! ❤️thank you
Great video! Thank you!
I loved her as Peterman's mother in Seinfeld. Bosco!!
Dude. I love these. Keep it up.
❤❤❤❤
17:13: I see what you did there!
Brandon was she the reason for you to name the series No Small Parts?
hell yeah
I know Patch Adams is kind of problematic, but Ellen Dow was iconic as the lady who wanted swim in noodles
If Betty White were Michael Jackson, she'd be Prince.
She was in a few episodes of Golden Girls.
It's really unfortunate that there was no mention of her role in 'Patch Adams' alongside Robin Williams... Pool o' NOODLES!
Das a good meatball...
BOSCO!
So she was just born old?
Like Roberts Blossom
I had to look him up, and then I recognized him lol.
