Just now watched your video. Good grief why does everyone try to say it means something that only Danish understand? I grew up with same beliefs. Warm cozy home.fire going hot drinks in winter, being together, playing games and just a general happness with our lives. No money to amount to anything.It just means to be happy with ones self and others.wish they would all stop acting like its the elusive thing that onle certain ones can obtain.ang who the heck cares how its pronounsed.saying a special wird means nothing.I'm from ruel Kentucky and we had this all my life we just didnt try to explain it to anyone
Ruth Goddard I agree with you. It’s just that the danish made a brand from their lifestyle. Strange how hygge has crossed borders...when in fact it is more or less just cozyness.
vanefreja86 hygge is so interesting for that reason :) In English it may just mean coziness or wellbeing but in danish it is more complex than that.
