@@grantwhitbourne your videos have been a big help. I have recently made a lot of friends from Aotearoa and I would love to be able to talk to them in their own language. Ka kite ano e hoa, chur my bro 🤙🏼
I’ve just started to watch your vids and I’m so happy I found your channel!!! Me and my parents have wanted to learn maori for a long time now so I can appreciate our culture a little bit more. I wish I could’ve learned it in our Aussie schools lol but that would be weird. I hope to be able to speak fluently and teach my future children :)
yes......Te Whare Wānanga where do you live? it depends where you live better to be immersed in the language or volunteer your time at a māori language daycare called a 'kohanga'
Only E inu sounds similar to the standard Malay of minum with the m dropped..but following the practice of dropping the m then e kai sounds similar to makan in Malay, again because in certain dialect the second syllable could be stretched to makaiaan.. Oh its eh..yeah we said that..so we say eh minum lah .. so that eh inu in Maori 😂

Hi everyone. I just move to New Zealand from Mexico 6 months ago. I’m so amazed with Maori culture. Is there schools here to learn Maori properly ?
You can do maori lessons that might be in some schools and some outside of school. Some schools speak fluent maori
