Love playing The Knight, thank you for the video! Particularly appreciate the inside corner to outside corner set-up tip on shack and strong loops--makes a lot of sense, but I never articulated that thought in my head.
One thing to remember is that Call to Arms (+25% path length add-on) really helps with this style of play. Not only does it increase the length of the path, helping you reach far gens without having to walk there, it also increases the speed of your path movement. It really helps when cutting survivors off, and also just means less downtime in general. It's a must-have if you are going to be aggressive with guard placement, and especially useful for scouting far areas. They really should make it base kit to encourage more active Knights. As for the other add-on, your two best choices are either Dried Horsemeat (+4s on chase) which helps a lot with wasting survivor's time and getting hits, or Map of the Realm (+4m detection range), which is great for securing hunts in the open or for beginners trying to get the hang of doing something other than dropping guards at loops. I feel like most knights will gravitate towards Horsemeat+Call as they get more experience, if they aren't using an assassin build or using one of the two red addons.
As a person who loves playing knight i can recommend newer knights one perk Zanshin tactics Yes the one that makes you see all windows and pallets Because it helps you guess the survivors next move you can set a long patrol path to cut them off Now this is only for beginners because good knight players also go up against good survivors and good survivors will try to be more unpredictable For this i would say run stridor so you can hear injured survivors better while setting a guard like the guy in the background footage of this video does But most of all, try to have fun with him He’s a really fun killer to play if you aren’t just holding 3 gens and camping
Thanks for this! I was disappointed with the Knight because of these preconceptions and I never had fun playing as or against him but I am definitely going to try these tips. Would love to see more of these. A Sadako one I would especially appreciate ( if you haven't done one already I've yet to check)
I've been maining knight since release although I'm silver 1 which is no big accomplishment I still lacked some knowledge with him, tysm.foe these tips they actually work and keep survivors away from gens/hooks consistently
People who say knight is only good at camping have never seen a capable knight main destroy a team on Coldwind, Eyrie, or Midwich. Those maps are actually great for knight if they know how to manage their guards
Always a huge fan of the informative nature of your videos! You asked for constructive criticism in your stream, so I'm diving in deep. Brace yourself I guess xD I will be firm, but I will also be as gentle as possible. Keeping in mind that these are educational, adding additional reinforcement of ideas can help all type of learners receive the juicy nuggets of wisdom you're laying out here. A easy example of this would be adding words on the screen in addition to being said. I would have loved to see the key points/chapter headers highlighted with text. (Also an opportunity to flex some motion graphics skills). Any way you can visually reinforce what you are talking about the better. I love the top down animated diagrams and the choice moments where you slow down the video so we can really digest what you're talking about. Another note on that might be to slow down when talking. I get that there is probably a minute limit you're trying to fit a lot of info into here, but sometimes you sounded like a run-on sentence and my brain got a little lost in the dump of info. Other times you would have very tasteful pauses and emphasis on how you were delivering your lines, so I know there's a world where you breathe between sentences so my brain can breathe between sentences. (This is a very nitpicky note, so I take it with a grain of salt. I know that sometimes you just gotta go with what you got which is hella valid.) There were some moments where I felt there was a miss on emphasis. At 1:50 we zoom in on the interface, which I know is to highlight the player icons on the left, but weirdly cropped motion of gameplay distracts the eye a bit and competes for the audience attention. There are a number of ways to combat this, (blurring unimportant motion, highlighting what you want the audience to look like with motion graphics, etc.) just keep in mind, where does your eye go naturally and make sure it's what you want your audience to be paying attention to. I know looking at the material for long periods of time makes this a little more difficult. Another set of eyes or, in an ideal world with no deadlines, time away can help. I noticed some of your transitions were a bit jarring. Especially the fade transitions at 2:00, 2:55, and 4:39. Not only is a fade to black transition in the middle of the content a little awkward, but the audio fades in and out with it at times which interrupts the flow of things. This is another instance where maybe text title cards could help cause you wouldn't need a complete visual reset when transitioning ideas.
Hey so im going to respond to these a bit more concisely! 1. Title cards that summarize the section could be good! This could be a flashpoint to hammer home 2 minutes of content and pin it to a single thought. 2. I could slow down - but analytics and data say that it's a bit dicey. id like to think the tone is conversational and not necessarily rushed. 3. I see your perspective on 1:50, good insight 4. The fade transitions arent in the middle of content or audio. Think of them more as the ending of one segment and the start of the next segment - this makes them make far more sense
@@DyllonKG 2: I agree the tone is conversational and I think is perfect for this kind of video! 4: I agree that the fade transitions can get the job done as bookends for segments. I think there might be a more effective way that interrupts your flow a little less. I think I mentioned audio because at 2:00 there was a rest in the music at the same time the fade happened which felt like "The End of The Video TM" instead of the end of the segment.
Can you normally see survivors when using the knights power? Or is that unique to the spectator role? I’ve never noticed that, but if that’s unique to the spectator role that’s actually super useful on the bootcamp reviews for Knight Gameplay 👀
I love the new thumbnail style. Really unique and makes your videos stand out.
Thank you! The artist is crushing it!

Ayo glad that helped quite a bit!

Yes the one that makes you see all windows and pallets
Because it helps you guess the survivors next move you can set a long patrol path to cut them off
Now this is only for beginners because good knight players also go up against good survivors and good survivors will try to be more unpredictable
For this i would say run stridor so you can hear injured survivors better while setting a guard like the guy in the background footage of this video does
But most of all, try to have fun with him
He’s a really fun killer to play if you aren’t just holding 3 gens and camping
So he has the same goal as clown but instead of throwing bottles you spawn a patrol and anticipate/react to the Survivors' movements.
Thank you for the tips! Been struggling with survivors not triggering my guards and your vid is super helpful.

We've definitely done *a* sadako one, but it wasnt necessarily about sadako as much as looping shack
I've been maining knight since release although I'm silver 1 which is no big accomplishment I still lacked some knowledge with him, tysm.foe these tips they actually work and keep survivors away from gens/hooks consistently
Yeah thats a good point I was using my guard to run towards the middle of the map and it never got hits
3:42 u can see them in hunt ?
I’d love more knight videos! Maybe more tips or some build outlines
What types of bootcamps do you want in the future? Looping? Killer? Other?
Great video! I'd love to see a looping Bootcamp video, that's where I struggle most as survivor. :)
Playing against trickster
How to killer meme build: Backpack knight.
People who say knight is only good at camping have never seen a capable knight main destroy a team on Coldwind, Eyrie, or Midwich. Those maps are actually great for knight if they know how to manage their guards
I did play against a knight who was using his guard to put pressure on the survivor
learned something new even tho i'm looking from the surv perspective^^
Thanks for the video.
Really neat and useful tips for Knight, I've also found him tricky to play as recently and I'm glad you made a video like this.
Love you Moody! Youre the best
Thank you

Spectator bug - you cant see survivors
Discordance is the best perk ok Knight, thank me later!
Wait people dont use his abilities in chases??
3:20 Hold up. How can he see the survivor while summoning guards?
spectator bug!
bro why when i use knight power i don't see survivors and all i see is grass moving?
I can only see survivors because it's a spectator bug
@@DyllonKG so I should see just grass? cuz its way more difficult without seeing them
@@Joseph12O its like spirit when you use the ability you cant see suvivors but its worth it
Hey Dyllon, I'd be interested in getting a bootcamp lesson with you regarding GF :)
