    Great new intro! Very glad our sensitivities are saving now. Saves me a couple minutes each time I start the sim.

      Thanks & yes it really helps that they are saving now.

      Yes the sensitivities are saving but my reactivity settings are not (on XBox anyway) so I still have to make changes every time I start the sim, just not as many as before!

    So glad they have added this for saving, was annoying having to redo them every time, now we just gotta wait for the dash lights to be editable....hopefully

      They appear to be working hard to bring the SIP functionality across.

    Excellent job, sir! Greatly appreciate someone else's "sage advice and experience" with the controls and the sim itself...
    That said, the settings you showed, do you feel those are good for a newbie like myself? I'm just looking for a good starting point until I develop the "muscle memory" for what control does what in the sim. I'm assuming that you might consider changing some of those sensitivities based on the aircraft being flown...more sensitive for the fighter jets, etc., yes?
    Lastly, given your experience...since it looks like you've used both, do you prefer a yoke or a joystick? I considered the full-blown universal Turtle Beach set-up but was a bit rich for my budget. Maybe after I get some experience... 🙂
    Cheers from Bend, Oregon USA

      Hi Neil, the settings I show in this video are good for a starter pilot: ruclips.net/video/P5quQ4Z-Z_g/видео.html
      Also: if you are tempted by a Hotas or Flightstick setup, then you can't go wrong with the Velocity One Flightstick.
      I generally prefer using a yoke.

    I am surprised that he is not also using the 'Extremity Dead Zone' slider. With many controllers (PC version of MSFS) I also set negative values for both positive and negative Sensitiviy. But never have I done that without also removing the ends from the curves with Extremity Dead Zone.
    Using EDZ values other than 0 prevents any very strong and unnecessary extreme values to be sent to MSFS. This will desensitize responses but in a different way than the sensitivity settings. In my opinion doing both helps a ton. It makes every plane more controllable and removes wild gyrations.

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  2 года назад

      You may find that those settings will not save on the Xbox consoles currently.

      I am struggling a lot with the elevator on the C152. I have to set the sensitivity to like -70 to get a little bit of a chance to controll the landing. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks!

    Since Sim Update 8 i have multiple problems with the velocity one on PC. Could you investigate if it happens to you too?
    - When going into the menu, the throttle setting sets back to 0. so you drop out of the air when coming back after the menu.
    - Switching between external view and cockpit view is somewhat glitchy and does not work all the time.
    - Throttle levers are slightly off and not synchronized. so lever 1 says 80%, lever 2 says 78% although they are in the same position.
    Really weird behaviour after sim update 8. I didn´t experience any of that stuff before. thanks man

      I show you how to fix the throttle issue in this video: ruclips.net/video/GbfpGGQaAsk/видео.html
      I don't have issues switching between cockpit & external views - make sure you don't have a confliction, or other settings that are conflicting, on that button.

    Hi Huddison, just about to get an xbox x and MSFS. At first I was thinking of just getting a Keyboard & mouse and eventually a Yoke & Throttle.
    My question is, how does one know which of the keys are assigned to what function of the aircraft. Is there a list ?
    You can get a Keyboard which is pre labelled up, but I'm not sure if it works with the xbox or just PC. .?
    Many thanks.

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  2 года назад +1

      When you load up MSFS, go to Control Options and see what keys are assigned to the various aircraft controls (many are set as default) - there will likely be a list somewhere out there.

    I have a VelocityOne w/PC. Do your settings differ when on PC?

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  2 года назад +1

      Mainly the same - they should work well for either platform. On Pc though, I do like to alter the reactivity in the axis (this does not seem to be saving currently on the Series consoles).
      Here's a Video on my PC sensitivity settings: ruclips.net/video/y-bli374D8s/видео.html

    Hi Huddison I have the velocity one controller with the Xbox series x. I have set the trim sensitivity as you have shown but the slightest touch of the trim wheel and the plane rapidly nose dives or climbs (dependent on which way I turn it) what am I doing wrong?

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  Год назад

      Is that after you disable Autopilot? If so, it's a known issue.

    • @Simon-ld2kc
      @Simon-ld2kc Год назад

      @@Huddison no, I generally don’t fly autopilot. It happens in normalcy hand flying mode. I’ve now had to switch assisted trim on because it was getting intolerable. If I moved it 1mm it would nose dive or climb rapidly (dependant on much what I turn it

      I’ve just flown the 152 VFR from
      Bristol to Compton Abbas, Compton Abbas to Bembridge (to refuel) VFR using my charts when from when I had my PPL and then Bembridge to Le Touquet using VOR Nav and NDB but had to use assisted trim as it’s driving me crazy 🤦‍♂️

    Get on the PC, it's better optimized on the PC than on the XBox! Graphically, the PC is superior to the XBox version. It's a colossal difference. I also have XBox and I switched to PC. When I saw how buildings and landforms appear and disappear on XBox ....! The buildings can be seen perfectly from 10 miles away, while on the XBox they appear good only when you are above them! It also has some bugs on the PC, but fewer than on the XBox.

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  2 года назад +1

      I do indeed own it on both platforms - the Xbox is impressive, keeping in mind it's running on a console.

    • @mihailm1753
      @mihailm1753 2 года назад

      @@Huddison Yes, but it also has a lot of bugs on the console! He still has it on his PC, but less often.
