I used 1.5 inch wide both in the blue and white. So my pieces are going to be about 3.5 inches long.

If you wanted to use ribbon of a different width the length is about double the ribbon width plus about 1/2 inch extra, you need 4 pieces for the first round and 8 for each round afterwards but these can be multiple colours. How many rounds depends on the width of ribbon. 1 inch needs 5-6 rounds. Thicker ribbon you may only need 4 rounds. Hope this helps if you have any other questions please feel free to message me.😘

Beautiful. If the centre ring ribbon att he join is wired, you could pull the wires to tighten around the ball. would look more snug and pretty

Very elegant. This will be great for a holiday ornament exchange. I think I'd substitute the ribbon running around the raw edge with a few rows of pearl strands or individual coordinating beads with decorative straight pins. Also, cording looped around the center will look nice. I'm thinking pearl white or silver ribbon. OMG...there are lots of materials one may substitute to create this beauty. I love the look. Thanks for the inspiration. ❣💕❤
so glad it inspired you to make one, yes the possablities are endless, by adding beads and pearls to it will give it that luxury high end look that you pay top money for. Lace and voile type ribbon can work too. I would love to see what you make :-D

the ribbon is just a standard satin and patterned, i buy mine as bulk bag bundles 3m of each sort in a mixture of colours.

largeur du ruban multipliée par 2 plus un demi-pouce, par exemple. la largeur est de 2 pouces donc 2 x 2 + 0,5 pouce = 4,5 pouces 😊
What is the length of the ribbon
The ribbon length is about double the width plus 1/2 an inch. So if you're ribbon is 1 inch wide you would cut your pieces about 2.5 inches long. It needs to be long enough to fold into a triangle. 😊
