- Deshaun Watson & the Cleveland Browns offense didn't do much in the first half against the Philadelphia Eagles, but a Myles Garrett blocked FG led to a Rodney McLeod touchdown to even the game at 10 heading into the halftime break.
Jalen Hurts connected with AJ Brown for the Eagles lone TD of the game.
Amari Cooper, David Njoku, Jerry Jeudy & company have to do more to unlock this Kevin Stefanski offense because right now, it's a stagnant, uninspired group.
Only once in Kevin Stefanski's four-plus seasons as the Browns head coach have they lost four games in a row. They're precariously close to making it a second time.
The Browns (1-4) are in Philadelphia today to play the Eagles (2-2). They come into the game in the midst of a three-game losing streak, which is tied for a stretch between Weeks 15-17 in the 2021 season for the second-longest same-season losing streak in Stefanski's tenure.
Cleveland lost four consecutive games between Weeks 4-7 in the 2022 season. During that stretch the Browns averaged 20.8 points a game, and only once was held below 20 points in a game.
The Browns never fail to disappoint, game after game, season after season, decade after decade.
Why change? The Browns business is profitable every year by selling you a rotten, spoiled product. Inprovements would cost money and eat into those profits. From a business point of view, he has no monitary incentive to do so. That would only lead to a reduced cash flow. There are owners that are sports fans and others who are business and investment focused.
They started going bad when Modell bought the team and fired Paul Brown for Jim Brown. They went downhill fast once Paul Brown's players retired or got old and they have never really fully recovered. That is why they have a number of championships but nothing since the super bowl started.

Did you watch Stephen Vogt's interview after the Guardians clinched? He said that they always all sit down and draw up a plan for the game and they talk it through many times. But as the game is going on, if he sees it's not going the way they planned, he tears up the game plan and plays the game to what he sees. He pivots. Maybe the Browns organization should take a page out of Stephen Vogt's playbook.

Ill just put it this way. The eagles played a avg. to bad football game today. Theyre struggling to turn things around over there just like we are. Why i believe they will and we won't is this. Their bad game is their qb going 16/25 for 265 and 126 rating with no turnovers and 1 sack. Our bad is 16/23 for 168 , 0 tds and a 90 rating with 6 sacks. We only outrushed them by about 30 yards. The eagles can be fixed. Their mendosa line is our ceiling. And thats the reality of this whole thing. It isn't just the qb (although he is bad). Something is rotten in that locker room. 🤔

The Browns acquired Watson from the Houston Texans in exchange for first-round picks in 2022, 2023 and 2024, along with a 2023 third-round pick and 2024 fourth-round pick. Joe Flacco has impeccable character and great leadership skills. Even his football skills are still serviceable. Look at his recent games. That is the difference. The Browns offensive line is outdated. Being a running team is outdated. In this era and time of NFL football, your offensive line and your offense HAS to be a passing offense.
