    Thanks Dale for a helpful video. I live south of Asheville, NC on old property and God knows how old these huge Azaleas are. I began pruning them back last year to see what would happen. They did fine~new growth. I went all in a few days ago and massive cut them back, the neighbors are probably horrified, but it's all for the better good.

    Can a privet hedge be rejuvenated in summer? I live in a summer rainfall area. Please help , I really need your advice as this hedge is not looking good now.
