    It’s crazy why channels like this don’t get the attention they deserve. Keep doing your thing Dr. Stuckler.

    These clerical errors should not be misconstrued as plagiarism. It is extremely disingenuous to say that someone stole an idea, when they clearly cited a work, which was only a misquote. Accidents happen and these claims of plagiarism equate to crying wolf.

      Agree with you 100%. It was clearly politically motivated to my eye

    I checked plagiarism using grammarly. Result was no plagiarism found. Then i checked using copyleaks. It showed plagiarism and ai content

    • @profdavidstuckler
      @profdavidstuckler  8 месяцев назад +1

      Did you use ai in your example? I wouldn’t expect grammarly or turnitin’s similarity index algorithms to catch ai effectively.
      Ai detectors have a lot of false positives at the moment. I haven’t checked out copyleaks however

      I used copyleaks to check my essay, written 10 years ago, no grammarly no chatgpt at that time, still AI content detected 😂

      Yes I’m about to do a video with copyleaks. It said I had Ai when I didn’t use Ai at all! Not reliable

    Hi prof. Stuckler, i am curious how about images? For example, special fonts, stock images or emoji, any idea if we need to cite it?

    • @profdavidstuckler
      @profdavidstuckler  8 месяцев назад

      stock images no as they are public domain but if you wish always err on the side of citing too much - so if in doubt, just cite it
      not sure about special fonts or emojis- you're putting emojis in your academic paper??? man i'm getting old...

      Hahahahha, yes, because it has some ‘design’ elements in my research, sometimes i need to use these kinds of elements. But yea, will check with the school library about that

    Are we not to choose the upload my paper option when submitting on blackboard?

    • @profdavidstuckler
      @profdavidstuckler  9 месяцев назад

      With blackboard you have to upload. You just don’t want to upload to turnitin (and have it keep your draft in their database) if you’re using it to check your paper
