What I mean is, the way she sings is different to other vocalists in JYP GG so far like WG, Miss A, and TWICE vocal lines. JYP usually pick vocals that are good for performances; sound strong while dancing on stages. Lia’s voice is something that will sell for ballads and soundtracks; more like SM’s kinda voices. That’s why she never sounds like the main vocals; Itzy’s songs are not her style of voice actually. Yeji fits JYP voice the most. Kinda like Lia is a delicate singer who dances while Yeji is a strong dancer who sings.
I dont know itzy well and thought yeji was the main and Lia would be the lead at first so I got the shock of my life when I found out it was the other way around cos to me at least yejis voice pops out more but reading your comment and seeing her singing songs that actually suit her voice shows me why she is the main vocal thanks

A lot of idols that people put above her in terms of technique are actually below her (Miyeon, Mia, Haseul, YuQi, even Joy)... She's also on basically the exact same level as Chuu. While think her breath could improve, she has a beautifully sweet voice!! Running and singing would help with this and it would help with endurance during dance numbers too. She has a unique tone that’s more rich than her contemporaries who tend to have higher pitched baby sounding voices. I want to hear longer notes and more bravado from her!

Park bom i guess is one of the most distinct singer in the kpop history idols but lia is definitely a MAIN VOCALIST MATERIAL, the voice, the technique and voice distinction. Listening to her, she's more of an indie, jazz, and rnb singer. These genres are harder to do than belting which many people think usually that once you can belt, you are already a very good singer which I beg to disagree. Thankfully, since this video was made, Lia's had a lot of great solo tracks, including 4 studio songs: 3 OSTs (Blue Flower, Always Be Your Star, One Hundred Love) and 1 solo ITZY song (Blossom). All 4 studio solo songs are incredible. She's also done a lot more covers and duets. Her duet with Lee Mujin - Falling Slowly is amazing. Her birthday gift to MIDZYs is a cover called Keep Me Waiting. Again, all great tracks. Lia has been slowly but surely shutting her critics up but there will always be haters who can't admit she's a top tier vocalist, nor would they ever seek out her songs that proves she's a spectacular singer. It is what it is.
There's a reason why I watch this video since I search for it on RUclips. And I'm still not convinced. I'm not an itzy's fan but Yeji's vocal brought my attention to this girl group and knowing that's she's not the main vocal is surprising.
