In India, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra have extensively utilized the same engine, which was independently modified by AVL (an engineering company). The engine was used in several Tata Motors models, including the Safari (1st Gen), Aria, Hexa, Xenon, and Winger, as well as the Mahindra XUV500 and Scorpio. The Tata Hexa and Tata Safari (2016+) had an output of 156 PS, while the Mahindra XUV500 produced 155 PS. Tata Motors discontinued the engine in its Passenger Vehicle Segment in 2020 with the onset of the Bharat Stage 6 emission standards, opting for a commercial grade 98 PS tuned 2.2L in the Tata Winger, while Mahindra recently stopped manufacturing the XUV500. As a result, the Mahindra Scorpio is the only vehicle that still employs this engine, which is also nearing the end of its lifecycle.

Safari Dicor engine is 2.5 L engine and Mahindra mhawk engine is 2.2L. They both took the help AVL. It has nothing to do with Stellantis or Fiat, except if AVL is owned by Stellantis. Don't go around saying such things without proper research.

2.2L Engine of Safari and Scorpio was from AVL, Austria. That's an independent company and largest independent Powertrain company in the world. Its not from Fiat or Stellantis
Actually he is right, Mahindra had an 2.5L and 2.6L CRDE from stellantis in their OG version. It belong to XD3TE if I’m not wrong … mHawk was a lower state of tune those days and Stellantis 2.5L and 2.6L were the peak performer under the hoods of their premium variant.
