This was a good one. Very good advices. Here in Finland, one also has deal freezing temperatures. Gear really must be in good condition or recently CLAd to be usable in winter. And then comes the problem: What kind of camera can I use with thick winter gloves. My go-to cold weather camera is Nikonos II. It's very usable even with thick woolly mittens.
Thanks! Finland must be pretty challenging in the winter, from waht I know. How long are your nights?!? I will look up the Nikonos out of interest. Have a good week/winter 🙂
@studioswinden When day is shortest in December, the sun rises about half past eight in the morning and sets before four pm. So there's no time to waste if you want to take pictures at daylight. I would definitely recommend trying Nikonos. The lens, which is usually attached to them, is 35mm f2.5 Nikkor. It's designed to be used both land and underwater, and it is an optically superb lens. Good winter to you also 👍🙂
Thinking of you whilst here in New Zealand we move through a wet Spring, bring on Summer!

Winterizing here in Florida by preparing for the northern snow birds filling our roads😂
As an Englishman I had to Google what that meant, but I think it might well be me, given the chance 😂
