Maru's usage of nukes is god-like it works especially well against those shield-batteries outposts, and zoning the army during the fight was so impressive
I found the mineral glitch artosis mentions the first time I played Red Shift. The damn gold mineral bases sometimes send harvesters around the wrong way for no reason.
Why haven't they removed stasis yet? Seriously it's mini vortex and that got removed for obvious reasons... It's impact early game is too much especially combo-ed with all the other things oracles can do...
its like widow mines, they made used mines detectable as they made stasis with finite lifespan. its pretty balanced to me. also, to spend energy on stasis means you have lesser tag and worker kills. i think that is ideal for terran players, they just need to avoid stasis better by spreading a few individual units further in front to trigger the traps.
Wait it's timed? How did that slip by me, that indeed makes it a lot more balanced. I still think oracle is too good at everything, dps, detect, harass and defense but the timed life does make it more balanced. Thanks for the intell!
yea, that change happened quite a while ago. they also made the laser beam to be affected by damage reduction from armor, mass oracles used to be able to counter hydras and marines but its now reduced to early game harass and mid to late game support unit. imo ravens provide more value compared to oracle, especially in the late game.
That change I did know about. Also ravens should have more late game power because what other unit can terran use late game? Only ghosts really so raven deserve to be more powerful. Heck why are they nerfing raven so quickly, I mean terran has never been powerful late game, it's always been never let the zerg/protoss get there but when terran suddenly does it they just nerf it? It's like the reaper, they nerfed it twice just for one guy who was godlike with them... Also oracle is a power house early game however late game is invaluable for tags to let tempests do their work.
actually they buffed raven, its new abilities are sick. i have no problem for the general usage of raven except when its massed. they definitely need to reduce the splash damage of the anti armor missiles, its kinda stupid how 7-9 ravens can instantly wipe out all of opponent's army. keeping the core damage at 30 while reducing the splash to 15 should be good. the design philosophy of raven by the blizzard team was to discourage mass ravens, obviously it didn't work. terrans are very decent in late game, mules replacing scvs allow for a bigger army supply. yea oracle is good, but its still only a support unit. it doesn't get stupid when you mass them like raven, that's the difference. oracles are actually balanced, it promotes an army composition that is diverse for different utility. like liberators and tanks, they provide support that boost the overall combat powers, but doesn't get stupidly op when you mass them.
Patience played very well. I’d love to see this in a Bo5, just to get the nerves out of Patience. You could definitely feel his apprehension game 1. GG Maru. Season 2 champ! (Jk I think Stats is going to win)
Hi everyone. the reason that maru can land the Viking there is that he just had excess APM and it was nothing to just throw an action and land the vike the microsecond before the bad guy GG's out. TLDR: Maru has apm to spare. cheers.
Lol game 2 maru sucked so hard.. wtf is he attacking the 3rd for when hes going allin, literally making his liberators and mines sitting ducks. Its sad to see this powerlevel where terran is at now. just spam a few marauders kill every tech unit there is. spam a few sieges make toss unable to attack or defend. Game 3 is how every terran SHOULD play. But most people are unable to press siege cuz theyr so used to being pampered getting rewarded for amoving. The nukes to defend the barracks was maru's winning move and that was beautiful.

Clutch nukes/cancellations saved that game for Maru during Patience's final push. That was insane.
