Thank you. Very informative. I understand that the swaras fall into a cycle of 32 followed by Vatapi ganapathim. So Vatapi... is the landing and does not have to fit into the 32 beat cycle? Am I correct in my understanding Madam?

The thala is 32 beats. Inflexible. Your landing point can be anywhere but the cycle from start to finish ( from and to the landing point) will necessarily be 32 since the thala is Adi

Normally there is somebody to demonstrate the thala. Of course, for some, the thala is in the head itself, but generally the artistes help each other on stage, or somebody will be there for the thala count
