Thanks Fred. I too am partially deaf and was recommended for hearing aids by the NHS several years ago, but I foolishly refused them saying I could hear well enough as long as I could see someone talking! Now I have to watch TV using the subtitles. I have tried those cheap 100 quid hearing amplifiers on Amazon but they are rubbish & just amplify all the surrounding noise. When I saw your video, I thought... thats just what I need! Speaker purchased on your advice and I agree its brilliant. Expensive yes, but worth every penny. PROBLEM SOLVED! I can now hear the TV clearly for the first time in years.
Just try each of the codes one after the other until it works if you have no look with the following. But first try 1770 or 36515, or 23221. Those are the coded for Cello TV's.
Hi. I think a soundbar will work fine for a slight loss of hearing. A couple of features of this speaker (still use mine weekly) has that helps is its voice boost feature as opposed to most surround speakers that enhance bass and the fact the wireless connection has zero lag in sync with the tv. Even a slight lag causes a terrible echo on wireless speakers.
Sorry been on hols. Depends on your tv's set up and how the soundbar has been connected. The tv speakers (and headphone jack) should still work if your tv has a phono plug output. many newer tvs dont.
Had 2 of these. Both stopped working after a month or so. Tried reset buttons, tried pairing the units again. Nothing works, If anyone's got any ideas I would appreciate them, otherwise this one's going back like the last one did.
I've just bought one of these units - buggered if I can it to work (it won't pair) - and I'm not technically stupid. My advice: if you buy one make sure you can send it back!

Hi. I still use mine daily and there is no lag. Glad it worked out for you also.
How can I get it's remote connection code to a Cello tv? Tried Sony shop, Cello shop and internet.
Thank you
Lynne
Hi sorry not sure. I was lucky to have a Sony TV and it worked out of the box.

Thank you for your reply, Rob. I will give it a try tonoght.
Fred got one but when I play an app such as Iplayer or a DVD the sound reverts to the TV speakers.
Guess it depends how you connect it. I use the phono out rca plugs on my tv. It also works via optical out feed on the tv
Fred how is this different from a soundbar placed near the person with hearing difficulties please? Thanks

HI Fred - is it possible to use this speaker as well as a soundbar?

@@CB-RADIO-UK Much appreciated.
i like the look of it Fred but u are right its quite expensive. Still if it does do the job its got to be worth it hasent it? Great video as always.
Yes it is pricey. Its well made and the voice zoom really works well on vocal.
I think they are cheaper at John Lewis ?
Normally John Lewis and Amazon are about the same. Sadly its not a mass sold item so discounts are rare.

Nothing comes to mind. Mines working ok still. Bad batch ?
Thanks for sharing 👍

Why not try hearing aids? They can fix this exact problem!
Hi. I wear digital hearing aids but you still cannot hear the TV as well as a normal hearing person in the room.
