I forgot to mention - Not Counting Trinket Picker NPCs and Trinket Seller NPCs (2 trinkets). The more levels you run, the more likely you'll run into them. As an example, got 1 trinket chest in Caves 1 in the open, but found 1 in the wall and got a Trinket Picker for a total of 3. Reminder: your mileage will vary due to RNG.
I felt like you made good value fast traveling in HoH 1, you didn't really feel hamstrung. But with the orbs being such a big part of your build you really do need them. I think you should honestly get 2 orbs per candle and you would be close in power but slightly behind
I definitely feel like doing these skips is not worth it. The loss of those orbs is just too much. At least in HoH1 I felt like you got less trinkets, but maybe some more rarer ones. Overall it was slightly less powerful often, but not something that would make it not worth it if you just wanted to skip those lower levels. I think this makes it too hard, even for an exp/resource grind. They either need to buff the number of those orbs, or perhaps if they widened the selection on those particular orbs, so you could pick the specific ones you want for your build.
From my experience in the caves, there's always 2 cracks in the wall on each floor, and one is always a trinket on each floor. I think those should be factored in because they are guaranteed if you look hard enough. It's the same with most floors, but I'm not sure one is guaranteed to be a trinket because I think I have seen one floor with resources and an item with no trinket box.
I would love to, unfortunately the developers have not implemented a menu where you can see your constructed buildings and what they contribute. I'll reach out to them to see if they can provide me with a list.
The design of the candle system seems really strange to me... Why even give the option to enter the citadel with 0 or 1 candles? If you aren't strong enough to survive the citadel with 2 candles, then you certainly aren't strong enough to get through the rest of the run with even fewer orbs and trinkets. You're kind of screwed on the spot. I can't think of any scenario where running with 0, 1, or 3 candles would be a good idea.
I plan to do a video on this but in short, you just have to be lucky and find them. There are ways to speed that up, but I'm working on that video soon.
I just did a run where I got around 120+ both wood and stone given I still lacked many upgrades in town I am not skipping anytime soon 😂 I rather get the resources
@@robertplayg334 i am in the process of doing it but literally had my guild hall barely at level 2 i am upgrading the chapel as priority but that run yesterday was a blessing I was able to upgrade lots 😅 working to keep it going
@ I did some for wood but the stone was thanks to bonuses I was indeed lucky, and I was able to go thru the last boss first time today, I don’t think I am still any where near to completing the town but I unlocked the gold blessing so guessing the resource one should not be far 😅
Four candles, or folk handles? Braziers, or brassieres? Your UK fanbase has some questions. Recommendations too, if you don't get the first reference ;-)

I really like the idea of picking specific orb upgrades, that would allow us to fine-tune our character a bit more.
4 candle run is the best way to farm trinkets currency, takes like 2-3 minutes.
Are candles the amount of fast travel you do? I played a lot, never fast traveled never looked for candles 😅

Sometimes I get that, yeah. In most cases I’m guaranteed two trinkets minimum. Sometimes I get lucky and get four. It’s all RNG. :)

i didnt even realize u could touch candles and i beat it twice
It does seem odd, a bit unintuitive. I had to test each candle configuration to know where it would take me when I first started playing.

you can upgrade chapel and get resource mania and triple that 120

Yeah, I get most of mine from trading. Give up 5 stone for 20 wood…with multipliers I end up getting like 120 wood.
