  • In this video I overhaul a Ferguson TED20 fuel changeover tap and fit a new seal kit.
After the video I did find a new strainer gauze.

I've just refurbished my petrol/TVO fuel tap. My Fergie is a 1948 TEA converted to run on TVO and has the little spring in the back of the tap. Works beautifully now. Thanks Lance for yet another great video.

Mate this was a great video, easy to follow instructions, clear audio, good lighting that showed all the details.
Thankyou for posting this heading. Found this RUclips link in your description for this exact kit on eBay. Buying a kit right now

Very handy videos as I'm working towards getting a ted20 my dad has had in a shed running was bought running off a friend years ago. Sorted wiring and control box then went on to next thing stopping it starting the solenoid which is dodgy as can start with screwdriver hurray getting close to hearing it run put petrol in and yep tap is leaking. Hopefully by end of weekend it will be running.

G Day wilfatron, I did a video on the starter switch too that may help you to not need the screw driver. It is an easy fix. Sometimes when restoring these tractors you seem to chase your tail a bit and as one thing is fixed the next fails. That is the tractor restoration game.

Watched it earlier in the week will have to watch and pay more attention now. Also watched the one on the rear axle seal but don't have a press so bought sure seals so your latest video will be good for that! Previous owner said the brakes need doing and only other thing I can see is the steering arm seals are leaking but when reading up on them it was said that if the bushes are worn it is a case of getting some new ones machined so will just send tractor to local spot if that is the case. Apart from that I'm hoping any other things are minor like a few hoses are looking a bit worse for wear. Cheers

I'm having trouble in one part of the shed with the pics with light, same lights everywhere but one area sends it greenish. I now take the photos away from that area.

Hi Lance thanks for another great explanation. You mentioned you have a bead blaster, could you do a quick stew or comment on that please. Thanks for the excellent videos, keep em coming, and p.s. I like the new music too. Gareth, from Wales.

G Day Derek, Yes I noticed the color but we are in the same place under the same light as always so I dont know what is going on there. I might have yellow fever from not enough beer, well that will do for an excuse lol.

Just in the throes of repairing exactly the same tap! Cannot find the gasket sets or the gauze on the Qld Tractor Spares site! Please assist. Also looking for the breather bolt that goes into the top of the Rocker cover, can you assist/ Do you have a listing of the oil quantities for the engine , gear box , hydraulics etc for the TED20?
    Another great video , thanks.
    George

Hey Lance another great tutorial, well done! You're a natural teacher and easy to listen to... In Canada could I use beaver pee? Possums are thin on the ground here :)
