Vedant Agarwal is the son of well known builder Vishal Agarwal, the owner of Bramha Realty and Infrastructure. Due to his connections with the police and politicians, Vedant got out on bail in under a day. The lawyer representing him, Adv Prashant Patil, has been associated with the likes of people like Jacqueline Fernandez, Suraj Pancholi and many others. Vedant, along with 2 of his friends were seen partying in nearby clubs in Kalyani Nagar. They returned to their car drunk at 3:15AM, and Vedant forced his driver to let him drive the car, even though the driver kept asking him to not do it. The Agarwal family is now trying to shift the blame on the innocent driver, making it look like he was the one who was driving when the accident took place. According to law, Vedants father too should be facing prosecution and jailtime. The deceased, Anish and Ashwini, came from Madhya Pradesh in search of job opportunities and were working in IT companies. There is very little coverage about the victims and their backgrounds. Imagine what their families must be going through. Pune police has failed miserably in providing them justice. This is not just an accident in Kalyani Nagar, Pune. It's a murder committed by:
- Corrupt police
- Corrupt system
- Corrupt administration
- Corrupt politicians
- Corrupt businessmen
- Corrupt excise department
- Corrupt showroom owner who delivered the car without registration.
If:
- The pub had closed as per the rules,
-if The pub had not served alcohol to minors as per the rules,
-if The showroom had not delivered the car without registration as per the rules,
- if Parents had not allowed their minor child to drive the car as per the rules,
- if Traffic police had acted on the car,
then these two young lives would not have been lost on road. Might have been spared.
Ordinarily traffic police are quick to penalize us for minor infraction they aggressively fine us for not wearing helmets, not carrying licenses, or PUc certificates. So, why didn't they take action on a flashy car without a number plate speeding on a deserted road at night?
Moreover, when the police arrest the culprit who destroyed two families, they provide him with biryani, pizza, and burgers behind closed doors. The shameless, wealthy brat eats without any guilt for taking two lives.
Does the court work on holidays to deliver justice or to save the accused from punishment? In just a few hours, bail is granted as if presenting a NAZRANA. This is the sentiment.

- Writing a 300-word essay,
- Taking advice from a psychiatrist,
- Learning traffic rules for 15 days.
More punishment is given in schools. Here, two youngsters died.
-For driving without a license, the penalty is three months imprisonment.
-For underage driving, the penalty is three months imprisonment.
-For drunk driving, the penalty is six months imprisonment.
-For overspeeding, the penalty is one month imprisonment.
Even for traveling without a ticket on a train, the punishment is six months. But for killing 2 youngsters Yet here, bail is granted in 15 hours. Astonishing.
The height of shamelessness is that a legislator comes forward to save the accused and tries to cover up the case. According to Pune Mirror/Punekar News, Vadgaon Sheri MLA Sunil Tingre is the one who tried to fabricate that the accused was not driving, but the eyewitnesses rejected this. If true, such individuals should be expelled from their party.
I don't know the deceased, but this could happen to you or me tomorrow. So, we must speak up. At least, we should stand tall before this hardened system.

I know how the traffic works in pune, the general driving sense of Punekars is so bad and it has been like this since decades and decades! Sorry if any pune based resident takes this personally but actually this is a fact. I have stayed in that city for so long... It's a great city and I really miss it, very beautiful city, great climate, young, vibrant, highly educated crowd, IT hub, great place to live, it's all of that but the traffic is worst over there. Regarding this incident I can only say one thing, in India anyone who has power, money and influence they can get away with anything. In the aftermath of all this, Vedant Agarwal was simply asked write 300-word essay on "the ill-effects of drunk-driving" by the court, he must learn traffic rules and get him into a de-addiction centre. The police demanded that Vedant should be tried as an adult but the judges in the court rejected this plea and chose to try him as a minor. One judge is also reported to have said "that this is not a too serious a crime."

Aren't the parents arrested?? In Goa d law is very clear if a minor is caught riding or driving the owner of the vehicle and the parents r arrested immediately. A 16 year old boy died while riding his KTM (self accident). His mother was arrested.
