@@DanKen139 although well Mai would be the one that is properly playable in a fighting game of SNK in full capacity as you couldn't finish the first AOF with King as it was only possible for Ryo and Robert.
Ahh.... I gotcha,@@lunarx3820. But remember. In 🆚 mode only for A-O-T 1, all fighters was available to choose from. So because of this, she still counts. She even had a story before Mai because of part one. She just didn't get a playable storyline until Part hit the arcades.

Feel like this sped up the animation of her NEOMAX here. But I'm probably just imagining things.
Funny how I'm unable to cancel ryuu enbu into hissatsu that many times without Mai go for her SDM
It's a channel that does everybody's trail combos for characters, with descriptions of tips specific to help pull off the difficult parts of the combo(s).
i tried after watching this vid, as i thought it must have been a programmed button for both individual moves, as the timings were really so quick.
only around a few minutes before i type this reply i managed to do it.
it's possible by manual input. i was using fighting stick to try.
i only did 1 set instead of 4 in the vid.
tried it on the old KOF XIII steam edition.
at least i know that that particular cancel is possible
Yarp, I came across loop holes as well when I was heavy in MI training days with XIII,@@kopiOgao11. Years later, I came across this channel that teaches you tricks & trades of each individual sets of trial combos for the game(Listed in the description of the video for combo he/she completes.) Seriously informative stuff.
Mai can do two Lvl 2 Super Deadly Ninja Bees into a Lvl 1 Super Deadly Ninja Bees... THAT'S CRAZY!!!

It would great to have global match patch for steam.
It would be nice if y’all combo experts showed your hands on the video. Most think its impossible. I can do some but it’s sure hella hard pulling a double backwards quarter circle motion on top of a shoryuken motion for example. I know some of you have mastered it to where it’s simplified somehow but I’m stuck on that particular one.

This game was the start of Ami Koshimizu’s time as Mai, correct?
Yes! While the regular kof seiyuus returned one last time for XIII, Mai was replaced with Ami. Mai’s older seiyuu was already struggling to do the high pitch voice. You can tell in KOF 2003 and KoF XI how off she sounded when she did screams. So SNK decided to cast a younger Mai for this game. And by XIV, they got rid of almost every other seiyuu, and just kept like 5-6 for XIV and XV. But Ami remains as Mai from XIII.

The very 1st combo is SO STUPID !! You can make almost 100% damage with no mode !!
The way to make combos in KoF should had stayed like until the 98 : except for "light hits", we shouldn't be able to combo with something not stronger rate.(or maybe then reducing damage, like in KoF XI..?)
How can it be FUN to know that you have lost your match juste because you took the first low punch ?? xD
In the better way, it is about 10, 15... 20 seconds to wait without being able to PLAY... What fun !
I strongly played less the franchise because of this since the XIII, as if your opponent know his combos, the game was to the first who place the 1st LP or LK... How fun..

Mai from KOF XV is one of the best Mai we've ever had. Mai from KOF XIII is the one who really sucks There she only has 1 super, super nerfed, several of her moves and commands were removed, and that makes Mai dependent on spamming her moves over and over and over again tirelessly, making her a fun-less Mai compared to the Mai in other games that have a wide list of moves
She is still my main in every game tho, but her nerfed kof xiii version bothers me
You claim her super was nerfed, yet she's one of the few if not only character that catch you with the same super Btw regular & max Vers., 3 times in a row,@@karloskyo8713. As far as her being fun-less in XIII, while I do understand your frustration of lack of moves for Mai. If you're a true fan of her, then you need to consider following:
-To state she lacks in moves is basically stating ya either haven't used her in older games(94', 95', & any F-F before F-F-S), or you're not good with adaptability with Mai. As she started with what she has in XIII in order games, & was still a major threat in the right hands.
-Quantity over Quality. With her throwback moveset, Mai one of the best EX moves characters in XIII. Top 5 for sure. Even arguably her EX QCF➕PP is better than in both XIV and XV. As it can even beat most EX projectiles in XIII. & her EX Hissatsu Shinobi-Bachi has little to no opening during block due to the last hit having a delay effect(If I'm not mistaken). Which is also be used as a surprise hit of you forget about that last hit.
-I've personally seen for Yrs, several characters being used(More often than not) in KOF, yet not using all the special moves/techniques for that character(s), even supers. I promise Mai is on the top of that list. That's not counting the usage ratio of the character in general. Which more or less plays a Pt. with adding/removing moves for characters.
-SNK for the most part struggled with proper support within their company, via compan(ies)y for several different reasons. & so-called fans of the game didn't make things any better. These factors get ignored a 💩 ton of times. Which is why ninjas don't realized that XII was the prototype for XIII, & because I'm one of the rare few(If not the ONLY person)that fluffed with XII heavy as well as the other information mentioned, they didn't wanna take any more risks with XIII than what they was already doing. Which means limiting the amount of moves was to be better safe than sorry.
