Great vid m8. I just got my rebuilt trans back and the delay you were talking about is completely gone! .My old clutches definitely had it especially when starting on hills or from a stop and was even worse when the car was cold. Now its instant, even just taking your foot off the brake and not putting it on the accelerator makes the car move forward.
It has completely changed the way the car feels now. When you get yours done eventually you definitely wont regret it.

Hey man, appreciate the info about the SST. I have been looking into getting an MR (I'm in the states) as I use hand controls and want something fun to drive. I have a Subi with an auto now and want something more engaging. I started looking up the SST about a year ago and there wasn't much for people talking about the them. My neighbors had the same attitude with the SST (Automatic), until I put them in the Ralliart and stepped on it.
Man did their opinion changed in a second.
Honestly I've had a lot of cars in my time, swore by manuals, but man I have never had as much fun in any previous car as I do in my Ralliart SST.
The 6th gear is a must for highway driving when you've build up your car, mine is loud, drop it into 6th up the highway and it's silent cruising.
Wouldn't even consider swapping the SST for a manual since owning one.

Its a very strong transmission. Its the fork and clutches that die over time. Its normal with every tranmission for clutch wear. But with the new TCU MODS and clutch pressure adjusting after build. is a monster transmission.

Best combination ever would be a Sportback EVO X SST. Proud owner of a Sportback RA here. I love the car! Tried Mercedes C/E Class, BMW M Series, Audi A4/6, nothing really comes even close to the great Mitsu. The interface is as straightforward as possible, the car is otherworldly reliable, practical, fun to drive. Mods are really easy to implement, and the aftermarket is huge. Being able to fold the rear seats and the huge trunk space makes it the perfect travel car, or daily car. And I find the style and rear visibility better than the sedan. If you're going to get a Ralliart Sedan, save more money and buy the EVO. The EVO platform is fantastic, wider, much better suspension, lighter, S-AWC, factory fixed calipers, overall a much better car. What made me chose the Sportback was really the rear end design that favors practicality. Invest at least 15K in it, for better brakes, suspension, rims, and engine upgrades, it will be the best car ever. The SST gearbox is amazing, I know we've heard a lot of people complaining about the plastic fork that fails, but that only happens with people that either overheat the gearbox or don't change the fluid often enough. The SST is bulletproof if you take good care of it: meaning change the fluid as often as possible, NEVER overheat it (if you plan to race it, install a better cooling system, like a bigger radiator and oil pan). No manual car can shift as fast as the SST hydraulic actuators, or even in manual mode. I've driven the Porsche Cayman with the PDK, and our SST shifts just like it. The advantages of the Cayman is the low weight and center of gravity, which makes it a monster on the track. But just like Jackson said, the shift speed is just stupid fast, nothing beats that.

Even if you have to spend $15,000 on it to fix it, or just wanna mod it, over the life of the car, you're at $20k ish, which is the price of some crappy economy new car like a 2021 1.2L Kia forte or Nissan Sentra.

So as someone who has experienced the SST Ralliart and the Evo X personally: is the Evox worth twice the price second hand, with twice the mileage? Obviously the EvoX is the superior machine to the Ralliart. But I’m assuming that lower mileage (and thus hopefully less mechanical problems) lower insurance, and considerably less money. Makes the Ralliart better value for money?
Obviously *I Want an EvoX* but I’m still going with the Ralliart as the better option.
Suppose my question boils down to: with everything considered… value for money… is the EvoX That Much Better than the Ralliart?

It's getting up there in kms so at some stage it's likely to need new clutches and shift fork possibly too.
If it's been looked after it may last a few years yet but be prepared to need to have some work done (my suggestion is always to buy one that someone else has spent the money on a rebuild already) but other than that yes do a service and teach in as soon as you buy it

@@JacksonStrain SST WAS MADE BY GETRAG one of the most advanced transmissions companies in the world
Obviously it was there first dual clutch so obviously things can be improved in the after market
But lots of people forget the 6sp in the supra RZ is by getrag and I believe the 32/33/34 GTRs as well
Dual clutches like all cars with clutches need to be replaced true….. but that just comes with the territory

I decided I would list potential problems as a lot of people do get them being that the cars can be 12 years old now, and the most vocal are people who have had problems.
