Aaron Longstaff Dude, out of all the Ark design videos I've seen this has to be my favorite. Why? Because instead of giving us literally 20 minutes of bs in the beginning ( screwing around or trying to promote or what have you) You get right to building and there are helpful steps included. You also don't list a step and trail off in a story which is much appreciated. 😂 Subscriber gained.
I'm thinking of modifying your design a bit. Use it as a house instead of just a taming pen. Make one side into storage area with dino access & the other side into an extended dino garage. Maybe roof access to for flyers. It is truly a fascinating design. I look forward to more incredible builds

To be honest the fact you don't use a mic is what makes your videos so good, bear bones tutorial with so much info without a word having been spoke, Never saw anyone do Ark videos the way you do. No voice-over with the right soundtrack = Perfection :D
Ah I'm glad you said that as that was the idea I wanted to make them no nonsense, the only thing is that the more complex the build the longer the video and the time it takes to edit means I will not be able to get videos out as often as id like to. I'm not good on the mic therefore will be continuing with this format for the foreseeable future!!

Normally I'm not a huge fan of these videos that use text over music to get the point across. But this video does a great job of making sure you understand. Great quality and attention to detail.

Dude, with the quality of these build-along type tutorials you seriously deserve more subs. Decent music, a spacious, functional build with pausable steps and clearly legible text without a word spoken is spot on. Excellent video! I'm going to have fun trying to scale this to house gigas.

That was the idea there are so many tutorials that just fly through the build and they are difficult to follow (or pause at the correct point) some people are saying that the videos are to slow but I'm sure I will get the balance correct at some point.
Ah dont worry, to anyone out there thinking its too slow; 2x Speed exists in all videos. I myself used it in 1.5x and its perfect, keep it up mate, cheers!
These are hands down the best build tutorials, no if and or buts. He includes accurate description of how everything should be placed as well as a list of items needed. Most building tutorials expect you to already be a master builder but this channel is great if you just started building in ark. Thank you and keep up the great work!
If u need a base but want to have most of everything near u build this and turn one of the pens into ur workshop and what not. Thats why I like the design. It can be turned into different stuff instead of its main purpose. Keep up these beautiful builds. Im surprised u only have 1 thousand subs. You'd You expect such a great builder to get more love right?

it`s a realy nice building sry my english isn`t the best but i think what could look nice would be a glasstower in the middle of the top (or any material which is prefered)for an industrial forge then you needn`t waste one of the pens for crafting mashines
I am more impressed by the overall aesthetic of the design and that you showed EXACTLY where you placed items, which ones and how with enough time to absorb what you were doing. This basic design could use for so many other types of buildings. Good work.
To anyone getting ideas from this or building this use wood foundations! Stone ones peak through dinos feet (especially little ones), and also thatch just gets in the way of flooring. You can use metal cause it’s really flat but it just looks ugly, the option of the wood gives a completely flat surface which is able to see mutations on the feet for Dino’s like dodos,Otters, and dimorphadon plus it can look good!
okay I am five years late to this video but I wanted to give credit where it's due .. I am almost done this build.. this was hands down the BEST building tutorial I have ever watched you made this so easy for me. On our sever phantoms of the island have built this. It looks really nice. They have displayed artifacts on the front so it looks pretty awesome at night!

Hey man! Just finished building the other breeding pen. I was wondering if you could make some wyvern stables. I've got too many to count on Ragnarok and I don't want them to just sit around my base.
For anyone curious this would work in PvP too with a doubled interior wall made of metal, turrets, and some plant x. I've always done this sort of design simply because it looks nice, and double/triple layered metal inside for defence.

for a medium size it seems very time consuming and annoying to build it looks very nice if your on an Pve but a PvP server that would have to be solid metal or tek on top of being a little bit larger so rex can grow up in it. But it does look very nice inside and out
Michael Rotunno yes rexs can fit through dino gates however it would be very crowded and hard to move and being made of wood and stone is a very easy target for raider. The design is very good I would use it if I was ever in Pve .

Just found this channel and discovered just how terrible my buildings are. My wife and I have been gathering materials like mad to make this (and others). Please keep them coming. Would love to see your take on an egg farm, though I imagine that'd be very large. Maybe broken up into a few different buildings and spread across one video per building? I'll just sit back and keep being amazed!
wow, I haven't even been able to play ark yet since my pc can't run it, but I can already see that your buildings are Damn amazing. I think I'll definetly use this in my playthrough when I get my new pc. you deserve a lot more subs, you should be the best ark building channel on RUclips!
Why thank you my friend......Building in ark is so frustrating there are limited materials and structures especially on console, there are hundreds of mods for the PC so you can get alot more creative. Good luck with your building when you get your PC up and running!!

I built this design on the server I'm on and it's proved to be very versatile. While I wasn't able to do the outer roof the same way because I just couldn't get the sloped roof to do the same thing, I made a slight change there, raised the center roof 1 level higher and added egress to the roof from inside. One one side I put a greenhouse on the roof, the other I left open (for the moment). I also extended the rear by 4x4x6 high and sloped the roof to match the main structure to incorporate an industrial forge. The result is that I now have a base that can breed, incubate, protect egg layers, grow everything, produce kibble and manufacture everything. My next steps will be to add more protective structures for dino's outside that don't fit inside like my Giga or Rex's as well as other fortifications around the base but the base itself works beautifully.
Most of your tutorials are great and even though this is still a great build, I had to make extra Wooden walls, Stone walls, Sloped left and right walls, Stone ceiling and maybe some stone pillars. Also you didn’t show a step where you built a wall between 8:44 and 11:16

I did my first couple of Aaron's tutorials by spawning in items. But this one I decided I was going to do all myself and I'm so glad I did. Took forever to collect everything but it feels so much more of an achievement once its done!

I kinda wanna make one on a 5x pvp server but i dont want it to get blown up with like 2 c4
Also even.on this 5x server thats gonna be hard to get we dont have a dunky anymore

This is great as most ark how to build things are for pvp and are mostly for harsh function but u took detail into the design and that's great

Be like 2-3 metal runs to finish.

you only need to learn and explore the rules which ark has in some things (building, dino follows etc etc) and then ark is realy nice

wow, I haven't even been able to play ark yet since my pc can't run it, but I can already see that your buildings are Damn amazing. I think I'll definetly use this in my playthrough when I get my new pc. you deserve a lot more subs, you should be the best ark building channel on RUclips!
Why thank you my friend......Building in ark is so frustrating there are limited materials and structures especially on console, there are hundreds of mods for the PC so you can get alot more creative. Good luck with your building when you get your PC up and running!!

I built this design on the server I'm on and it's proved to be very
versatile. While I wasn't able to do the outer roof the same way
because I just couldn't get the sloped roof to do the same thing, I made
a slight change there, raised the center roof 1 level higher and added
egress to the roof from inside.
One one side I put a greenhouse
on the roof, the other I left open (for the moment). I also extended
the rear by 4x4x6 high and sloped the roof to match the main structure
to incorporate an industrial forge. The result is that I now have a
base that can breed, incubate, protect egg layers, grow everything,
produce kibble and manufacture everything.
My next steps will be to add more protective structures for dino's outside that don't fit inside like my Giga or Rex's as well as other fortifications around the base but the base itself works beautifully.
Most of your tutorials are great and even though this is still a great build, I had to make extra Wooden walls, Stone walls, Sloped left and right walls, Stone ceiling and maybe some stone pillars. Also you didn’t show a step where you built a wall between 8:44 and 11:16

I did my first couple of Aaron's tutorials by spawning in items. But this one I decided I was going to do all myself and I'm so glad I did. Took forever to collect everything but it feels so much more of an achievement once its done!

The fence foundations are like the key to every build. Had no idea how important they are. How you do all this? idk but your videos and structures are amazing! +10 on the music choices too.
