I updated my s8 ultra to 6.1.1 last night. Battery is draining crazy. I'll trade it for $750 to Samsung for S10 Ultra. If you would like to keep S8 Ultra, don't update it.
I bought the S8 Ultra from a family member a year ago & overall it's a beast, only downsides are I can't play games above 60 fps or else it'll take me to the reeboot screen and it gets warm easily :(. Still recommend it but get the 256Gb or 512GB variant, 128GB is nothing in 2024 for heavy users like me
I have a keyboard for this tablet and was wondering how do you fix the trackpad from freezing so much i always have to disconnect alot it gets annoying
anyone reading this know what your getting into been using the tab s8 ultra for a long time and I haven't seen a single review mention how insanely bad the green tint on the screen is when viewed at angles . an oled screen should be very close to pure black with its display off in sunlight but it isn't . it has a horrible anti reflective coating and no joke my iPad Pro 4th gen with an lcd screen looks much darker in black scenes in daylight because the anti reflective screen on apple devices are the best on the market . this tablet has horrible viewing angles look at 0:31 as an example and sunlight usage . that being said its a good package for what it is the screen doesn't feel as massive as id thought it be as watching content on its 16.10 aspect ratio is better than anything you'll get from iPad
Not every OLED display has pure black when seen in a bright environment; some types of OLED screens have a green or purple tint to them when under bright light, but it doesn't affect the picture quality, and normally people don't notice that while watching something on the display, and most devices don't have anti-reflective coating because nobody likes them, they make colours look dull.
yes, you can probably get it a lot cheaper than i did right now, although the s10 series is coming out soon you may want to wait to see if it drops even more in price
I think people have an illness with their reward system in the brain. A thing must be good for over 5 years. So choose good usc slot, 12 gb ram and good pen...the s8ultra will beat even middle class pads and apple in price in 4 years

I would assume you should take the biggest one since bigger means better writing space and more comfortable for your hands prob. if you are using it for writing/taking notes ofc if not then I don't know which actually
I've had several tablets across all platform (android, ios, and windows). As someone with an android phone, I think iPad takes the cake in the tablet space. The optimization is on another level and they use desktop-class SoC, compared to competition. Pro apps are more common, and iPadOS is just cleaner than *most* android UI. Update support is also a whole lot better than samsung. I had the Samsung S5e and got dropped out of support in like 2 years. meanwhile, older ipads will still get iPadOS 18 this september. That being said, SamsungDEX is a whole level better. Multitasking is top notch. But with gaming, iPad is a lot better, unless you emulate (but ios now are accepting emulators and sideloading here in EU). In my opinion, Android is better on phones since I want customization and complete control on my personal day-to-day device iOS/iPadOS is better on tablets. Not even close. It's not just an upscaled operating system.

That's where the micro SD card slot comes into play I slapped a 1tb samsung SD card into it :) and it took away the problem of only 128gb
