A real classless act. So my take on this is, it's totally fine to block and put the 7 car into the wall and wreck other cars as well. As long as the 9 got the win.
So he was just supposed to let him get beside him on the last lap. You do know it's a race right. You try to keep the other guy behind you blocking or not. You are trying to the win the dang race. That's what your there for.

As a for Georgia Native and proud of it. I love bill Elliott and his son chase Elliott. Both are very talented. And to me very respectful. Congrats Elliott family and HMS!!!
A chip off the old block. I remember watching Bill Elliott and his T-Bird leading the race ended up back in the pack last place only to get all the way back up the first place. And in those days his t-bird was so good it was eight laps ahead of the second place car. Of course that will never happen now with a NASCAR rules. Did not hear any fans booing Chase Elliott. Stay humble my friend.
