I think the refs suck! But… that’s a good call yes Tatum shot after the foul but Bam put his foot in his landing zone which is extremely dangerous! That call isn’t supposed to help the game but to prevent injuries, so that was a good call

I have no team in this fight. I want that called a flagrant every time regardless of whether it's live or dead ball unless the player is kicking out his legs and initiating the contact himself. It's too dangerous for players to come down on others' feet. The worst sports injury I ever suffered was in volleyball when trying to block a shot and my opponent's foot came under the net. Suffered a ligament tear and it sidelined me for most of the year.

Bam turned his foot sideways to cover more ground and excessively slid his leg towards Tatum, moving into his landing space. The fact that it happened during a dead play makes it worse, not better. You jump up and grab the ball on a shot attempt like that or have someone swat it away at the rim like KG used to. You don’t get up into a player’s landing space and pull a full contest when a shot isn’t even going to count. I like Bam, but that was pretty obviously intentional.

Why is everyone confused about this? Bam placed his feet in Tatum’s landing zone. That’s flagrant, not to mention messed up. It doesn’t matter if it’s after a whistle. Is it kinda rude for players to shoot after the whistle, sure. Do players shooting deserve to get contested, absolutely. But those 2 actions cancel each other out. That’s why Kevin Garnett made it kinda fun/funny back in the day when he started blocking after-whistle shots at the rim.
