Smuts is definitely harder, and scarier. Lots of good holds on smuts but the exposure is real. A few different routes above the staircase. We took the chimney on the left, it was straight vertical near the end and wind made it very difficult, some of the hardest scrambling I’ve ever done in that section. Thankfully one guy in my party had done Smuts before so that helped with route finding. Good luck and hope you get some nice weather

Definitely steep & exposed. We felt pretty good with the rock quality and amount of good holds. Cheers

I saw you did Mt Stephen . I did it last year in September .Which one you think is harder ,scarier ? I'm thinking on trying Smuts this year
