It was announced just this morning that GOT7 member Yugyeom is in talks with AOMG for a contract signing. AOMG is a Korean hip-hop & R&B record label founded by Jay Park in 2013, Park being a former member of JYP Entertainment group 2PM itself. Yugyeom's rumour of leaving JYPE clubbed with the rumour of Jinyoung also leaving JYP for BH Entertainment (an acting agency) has fans worried but also happy. Fans are happy to see that the members will now get a lot more freedom in their music as well as will be treated right (JYP has been criticized for constantly mistreating GOT7) but Ahgases are also worried that they might not be able to see GOT7 together as a group anymore.

This is the HARDEST part of stanning a group💔😭😭 although I'm an ARMY I truly loved and supported Got7 since 2014🥺. It's sad that they didn't get the proper promotions they deserve and I'll never forgive JYP for that.
I don't want them to disband or even members leaving honestly, but I'll suck up these selfish emotions of mine and pray for their happiness and whatever decisions they make I'll definitely support them like I've always do.

It is just last year I became a fan of K-pop through BTS and found several amazing groups. But GOT7 WAS THE ONLY ONE WITHOUT ANY TOXICITY, HATE AND JUST PURE LOVE AND DEVOTION FOR THEIR FANS... I'm happy for them as JYP really mistreated them but also really really sad.... Why I didn't find them earlier... 💔💔

Wow! this is heartbreaking. I just discovered them a month ago and already this news. Well, I hope another company is smart enough to take them as 7 and we get to see them perform together for a few more years. But, I also understand the need to branch out and move on whether it is acting or a solo career. I think they will also have love and time for one another and us - their hardcore fans.

Thank you kpopish for discussing this. I am a fan of itzy and twice, and I am not very familiar with the male groups at jype. I was a bit surprised by the news, tbh. After Jae's vlive where he talked positively about JYP, I thought everything was fine. I genuinely thought JYP was like a second father to them. Are all GOT7 leaving the agency?
This is the best marketing from jyp, look like a family but give unequal treatment to groups. Thank you for understand, i see a lot onces disrespecting GOT7 for this. I know that all groups have their problems but it's annoying see 7 talents boys being wasted in that company. As ahgase i hope all of them leave the agency but stay together as GOT7.

Honestly if they all leave I wouldn't be surprised. Just like each one they all have there different style and deserve to branch out in there own differentl lane. They're clearly like family and wouldn't change that brotherly love. But if a company is being irresponsible from multiple accusations then why wouldn't they want too leave?? They deserve the best and shouldnt hesitate. On another note they are all grown adults there for what ever decisions they make we should all support them in w.e it is. I feel like Got7 has the potential to reach their sky limits. I felt like they had so much more talent and skills to show us but ofc JYP had to let them hold back some of their talent by mismanaging them. No promotions no tv interviews it’s like the fans have to be doing all that work and that’s messed up. It’s like JYP doesn’t want them to shine or can’t accept the fact that Got7 is more popular than him in terms of a mv, looks, voice, dancing skills. It’s like he’s keeping them locked up in the dungeon. Like what’s the point of making a group if your not gonna treat them right. Honestly if Got7 was to leave JYP tomorrow I would be happy and also not be surprised it’s getting too much now...
