Based on all the interactions with Bugs and the Vampires, if you encounter a Monster? Set it on fire. Unless the monster is the fire. Then you're fucked.
This reminds of an incident that happened to me when I was little. My childhood home has a porch with a backyard and we'd get ants covering the entire ground some days in the summer. One time I got trapped in a chair on the porch for an hour because ants swarmed all over the concrete and I didn't want to step on them since I was barefoot. I waited until my mom cleared a path with the hose for me to get back to the house. A few days later, when I was playing in the grass outside, I must have disturbed a nest or something because ants suddenly started climbing me. I still remember the feeling of little legs moving over every inch of skin. I was covered from my toes to my neck. For whatever reason no ants went on my face. I remember feeling a mixture of delight and fear and I yelled for my mom. She came running out of the house to find me standing still in the middle of the backyard absolutely covered in ants. Looking back, I'm pretty sure she was panicking internally but she was pretty calm when dealing with it. She turned on the hose and we spent at least 20 minutes gently rinsing off all the ants so that they wouldn't become aggressive and bite me. I don't know how but during both incidents I got bit a grand total of zero times. Nothing like that has ever happened again. I also never developed a fear of ants. To this day I still think ants are super cool
The more I listen the more I feel like Jon needs to be bolder in recruiting help. This guy went straight from "Agh, weird sick man grabbing me" to "guess I will light him on fire". They need people like this to take on the stuff they are combating. He should also definitely be trying to contact Gerard Kiay or however you spell his last name.
I kind of feel the exterminator's ability to handle bad situations is why Disease Control snapped him up. Disease Control might have its own monster squad for specific situations.
Ok spoilers for the next season or so In heinsight this guy got really lucky. He came face to face with extremely powerful avatars of the Corruption and the Desolation and lived to tell the tale.
My theory from this episode and what we know so far: The ants' case reminds me the mosquitoes' case. I mean, in both cases we had the creatures eating/drinking the sick fluid (remember how the mosquitoes would go crazy for the blood that was full of diseases?) So, that makes me thing that these two are related, and that person who was the owner of the ant house and was also in the nursing house is a follower or a part of an entity (like how Michael is part pf the spiral entity) that can make people and objects (the ant house seemed sick) sick. Does that mean that this man and prentiss were marked and were working for the same entity? Is the hive entity and the entity that brings sickness the same entity? I can't say yet, I need more data. The landlord, on the other hand, in prentiss's statement we thought he was just another victim of the supernatural, but what if he was also involved with the supernatural? He was disappointed when the witness came down prentiss's house like he knew already that the hive wasn't killed, even though even our witness didn't know that yet, he only heard the screaming. And then he used a tattoo on him to set the place on fire, making sure the hive would for sure be destroyed. That means that a) he wanted that hive destroyed that day immediately (remember how the pest control guy was the one given the job 'cause he could go right away?) and b) I don't believe he was a member of the fireless flame cult 'cause members of that cult can make people and objects burn by just chanting, they don't need a tattoo to use, and also the fire that the members of that cult bring doesn't harm them (from what we know so far at least), while the landlord of prentiss was found dead. So it's more like he sacrifised himself in order to destroy the hive right away before it could do anything else (like, I don't know, luring someone else again?). So either he was a supernatural fighter, one of the good guys, or he was a pawn of another entity that was against the hive entity. Now, of course, there's also always the chance of him being brought back from the dead from an entity to be used by it too, like with other cases of people being supposedly dead but being seen alive and kicking after their "deaths".
First time listener, so no spoilers please. Wondering if John Amherst is (kind of) a good guy. Burning the hive... maybe he was actually trying to contain or get rid of whatever was in the nursing home. 🤔
John Amherst didn’t burn the wasp nest. That was Arthur Nolan. John was the ant guy, and the guy from the Ivy Meadows Nursing Home. And at the nursing home, it’s heavily implied that the mysterious old man and the woman who saved the statement giver were the ones to start the fire there. :)
Spoilers Of all the one off characters from earlier seasons, this boyo isn't one I'd have expected to show up come the final season. Fun times for viewers. Not even a bit for poor Jordan Kennedy.
Okay. Only part of the way through the episode but I cant help but notice the description of the man who got mad at the pest control worker is described very similarly to the man who was “working” at the nursing home that was infected. Just me?
Corruption: ants, worms, all over, man has a fever, bad smells Slaughter: dude tried to kill him, his suit is like that one Slaughter band Desolation: death by flame, very flammable dudes

How does that amount of any happen to a house? Hmmmm....... Someone pours sugar on every single surface. OR....????? Was it the meat apartment/ or another meat house!???????
Once lived in a house with ants that were attracted to water so they ended up any where there was water. So the bathrooms and kitchen sinks. Since they didn't come in for food the usual ant poison didn't work. Anything the exterminators did got rid of them for about a month or two before coming back. At one point they ended up in the water dispenser. The house was old and had settled a bit so there were all sorts of cracks and spaces they could get into although I think they preferred the outlets we didn't regularly use.
aughh Jon KNOWS he's probably being paranoid and seeing danger where it doesn't exist but if he can't be 100% certain about something he assumes the worst,, ocd gang how are you
As it seems with way more that I'd wish cases, I have some experience with ants and wasps infestation of my own. Both of them happened when I was staying at the summer camp 16 years ago. I think, I've already wrote about the wasps' one in the comments of Nursing Home case, but before our group was moved to the building with wasps' nest in the toilet, we were situated in another, much farther from the centre of the camp building. The were two floors - first one for girls and second one for boys. At our second day we noticed a cabinet (or nightstand, I'm not sure of the correct name). Me and two other girls decided to look inside and saw, what we later deduced, a stack of towels that were almost completely cowered with ants. We closed the cabinet and haven't opened it ever since. Didn't stop ants from going in *our* rooms, but at least it was just a couple of them per day, instead of the whole swarm that was there.
Listening at work is great, but not commenting my ideas and theories each episode is killing me. Anyways, love the recurrence of so many early episode characters this season. Starting to get an idea for possible.....beings... at the top of the factions that are supposedly at war. I like Noun names so here are my theorized ones so far while I'm on break: -The Vast seems given by now -The Deep or the Trapped perhaps -The Lightless Flame seems too simple, perhaps The Scorched, The Brilliant, or Asag is actually the being for the fire -The Watcher for the archives and several spots where being watched was the theme -The Isolated/Lonely -The Web or The Fractal/Spiral perhaps, I'm not sure if this is one or two factions yet -The Other for all the uncanny valley and body snatcher types -The Visceral or the Flesh maybe, or Meat -The Shadow or The Darkness -The Hive or The Infected -Death itself maybe This is short of the 14 I was considering ten or twelve episodes back, but well see by the end of work if I don't have more ideas Man. Screw being a human being in this world, shit sucks. The man with the coffin seems the only real winner in this universe so far

I kind of feel the exterminator's ability to handle bad situations is why Disease Control snapped him up. Disease Control might have its own monster squad for specific situations.
Sounds like Pestilence... Horsemen insinuation?
He seriously needs vacation
and therapy
Yes, lots of it
Ok spoilers for the next season or so
In heinsight this guy got really lucky. He came face to face with extremely powerful avatars of the Corruption and the Desolation and lived to tell the tale.
Might wanna put a spoiler warning on that one, bud
He had the power of I Have A Plot Relevant Statement To Give Jon And Therefore Cannot Die Before I Give It
Well, wait for season 5.
at 5:48 and wow this episode is going
to be fun
pretty sure i have a phobia of ants so
this description? not fun
rip
My theory from this episode and what we know so far:
The ants' case reminds me the mosquitoes' case.
The "Azog" guy burned himself summoning the boiling heat thing, so the fire people aren't always immune.
@@Badficwriter hmm I see, I had forgotten about that at the time I wrote my comment, thanks for the info
GUNPOWDER TIM
See it’s all fun and games for Jordan until he goes with his best friend to fight the moon kaiser 300 years in the future ago

Wasn't it 2000? Or 200?
Or 1000
Spoilers
Of all the one off characters from earlier seasons, this boyo isn't one I'd have expected to show up come the final season. Fun times for viewers. Not even a bit for poor Jordan Kennedy.
GUNPOWDER TIM!!
GUNPOWDER TIM???
Okay. Only part of the way through the episode but I cant help but notice the description of the man who got mad at the pest control worker is described very similarly to the man who was “working” at the nursing home that was infected. Just me?
AAAAAAA I WAS RIGHT
Corruption: ants, worms, all over, man has a fever, bad smells
Slaughter: dude tried to kill him, his suit is like that one Slaughter band
Desolation: death by flame, very flammable dudes
I'm inthrawled in this series I can't begin to explain how much I enjoy it thanks so much for these amazing tales much appreciated
I put this on while i was in bed and fell asleep and ended up going all the way to 61, i wonder if when i listen to these while awake now ill remember bits and pieces
did you remember bits and pieces from when you were asleep?
listening to this again now that i work in pest control in certainly something
Picking up snacks was... quite the mistake
Listening to this while laying on a lawn, the increasing number of ants around me is… concerning
How does that amount of any happen to a house? Hmmmm....... Someone pours sugar on every single surface. OR....????? Was it the meat apartment/ or another meat house!???????
I'm glad Jon got a good night's rest, because oof.. he really needed it.
fell asleep in the middle but woke up agian next episode, I'm back!
John Amherst (man woth ants) was taken to IVY Meadows nursing home, the same one from episode 36
Huh, a nice coincidence. I'm listening to this right before Halloween, and Jon brings up it being Halloween week... it is just a coincidence... right?
Once lived in a house with ants that were attracted to water so they ended up any where there was water. So the bathrooms and kitchen sinks. Since they didn't come in for food the usual ant poison didn't work. Anything the exterminators did got rid of them for about a month or two before coming back. At one point they ended up in the water dispenser. The house was old and had settled a bit so there were all sorts of cracks and spaces they could get into although I think they preferred the outlets we didn't regularly use.
*Sees description*
And here I thought this was going to be about rats.
Guess I'll just keep waiting in suspense.
gunpowder tim????????
YUP! 😃
Anyone else get a Pest Control advertisement on this video?
It's the eye 👁️
aughh Jon KNOWS he's probably being paranoid and seeing danger where it doesn't exist but if he can't be 100% certain about something he assumes the worst,, ocd gang how are you
On my re-listening of the series, it strikes me that the paranormal really seems attracted to people who smoke.

Christ I fucking hate the corruption.
But the Corruption loves you. Purely. All-encompassingly. Please join it.
Spoilers asshat
Listening at work is great, but not commenting my ideas and theories each episode is killing me.
Anyways, love the recurrence of so many early episode characters this season. Starting to get an idea for possible.....beings... at the top of the factions that are supposedly at war. I like Noun names so here are my theorized ones so far while I'm on break:
-The Vast seems given by now
-The Deep or the Trapped perhaps
-The Lightless Flame seems too simple, perhaps The Scorched, The Brilliant, or Asag is actually the being for the fire
-The Watcher for the archives and several spots where being watched was the theme
-The Isolated/Lonely
-The Web or The Fractal/Spiral perhaps, I'm not sure if this is one or two factions yet
-The Other for all the uncanny valley and body snatcher types
-The Visceral or the Flesh maybe, or Meat
-The Shadow or The Darkness
-The Hive or The Infected
-Death itself maybe
This is short of the 14 I was considering ten or twelve episodes back, but well see by the end of work if I don't have more ideas
Man. Screw being a human being in this world, shit sucks. The man with the coffin seems the only real winner in this universe so far
I got a fucking bed bug removal ad while searching this episode’s wiki. fml
listening to this episode i got a bunch of mosquito bites. hopefully the mosqitos dont posses me or whatever
There goes my hero. Kill all of that shit with fire. (I know it technically wasn't him on the second story but still)
"Laura Star" reminds me of a kids's show in my country of which the title translates to "Laura's star", haha
"Lauras Stern, Lauras Stern, Lauras Stern hat dich so gern... Hell und klar, hell und klar, Lauras Stern ist immer da..."
Also thanks, the name reminded me of something too but i couldn't remember this was it^^
@@lilalino Haha yw :D
TIM
horror: Hundreds, thousands of ants and Jordan left to face them alone
my brain, trying to cope: _a n t m a n_
Edit: This morning there was an ant on my sink. And trying to get through the door when my cat caught it. Oh no
Well that was absolutely horrifying and very depressing moving right along
well this definitely isnt helping with my crippling fear of ants
Was his first case of the ants the meat apartment from that one episode??
Wasn't there also that old lady talking about the wasp nest in the attic? Was this her house?
The lady who gave a statement about the wasp nest was Jane Prentiss, before she was a flesh hive.
This was indeed her old apartment building. It was mentioned in the follow up on her statement, that the building burned down. :)
Why is this the episode that came on while I’m trying to eat
there’s a wasp nest in my attic
TLDR; Dang! Gonna need the *big* boot.
4:08 I draw the blinds when a heatwave comes?
Stops the sun turning my house into an oven...
