Love the video. I’m retiring to the Panama City area and looking to get into Surf Fishing. Looking for advice on the rod and reels I need to hit the sand running. Any experience with Kast King Kapstan Elite reels? Just want low maintenance sealed type reels.

I don’t have any experience with them. I’m a Penn fan mostly.

@@panhandlesalt you have a list of rod/reel combos you suggest to get started with. I want to set myself up right to start with. The last thing I want to do is waste money buying beginner gear only to toss it out to upgrade a year later. I want to start out gear that any experienced angler would be satisfied with.

I've been looking into upgrading my surf rod and stumbled upon Ninja 11' daggers. Wasn't 100% sold before watching this video. Gonna order one, thanks for the vid and the info.

I can't tell you how much I really enjoyed this video. So many You Tubers put out videos that are what I like to call "fluff" and I pretty much just end up watching someone's fishing trip and I'm not learning anything. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to be entertained, I'm starting to get bored just with watching only. I need to get out there and get some hands on experience. This video will help to train me further. I appreciate it brother, God bless!

You’re welcome to try the century Rod surf machine 13ft. 2-8 oz for big game and the century surf machine elite 13 ft 1-6 oz. A bit expensive but it’s a whole different animal. Themis the ultimate surf rods.

Could you. Use the 11 foot dagger for drum and occasionall sharks or go for the 12?

So the 11’ foot you have are the K Series. I see you have a spinning rod for those. Why did you choose the K series over the spinning model?

Man I wish I hasn’t clicked on your video. My bank account just went down. Being the OCD that I am, I’m gonna have to get me that 7 footer, the 11 footer and a bummy stick. And no I don’t have a need for all of them and I live in the desert. 😆😆😆

I’ve been debating on if I want the 11 foot or the 9 foot series for set rigs. Do you have an opinion on that?
