the reason why Chon's reaction here about not hearing Ton's explanation is VALID (at least for me) is because he's madly in love with Ton for like his entire life! he even cleans ton's house alone after all these years, so the feeling of being taken for granted and cheated on by the person you love the most since childhood is a pretty devastating feeling you know.

I like how it shows that Ton didn't even really realize the severity of his actions until Chon calls out his shit. The look on his face says it all when he tells Ton he can forgive anything but unfaithfulness. Like he just realized what he actually did. He was there apologizing thinking it wasn't a big deal, that Amp was behind it all. He didn't even realize him feeding into it was an ego thing for him, or that it would actually hurt Chon. When he does realize it you can tell it hits him hard. That moment he realized he could really lose Chon. You could tell by the look on his face that thought had never actually occurred to him. Really interesting scene in general.

He knew how he felt and he knew for a very long time. He chose to act that way because it was the easiest way for him to hide it. But he was so torn. Because he also couldn't let Chon go. So he kept him close by claiming he has to protect him as a brother. I agree with the original comment. I can pinpoint like 5 dude I knew personally in high school who was even worse then Ton in terms of homophobic behavior come out later. One guy I knew had a girlfriend and was messing around with a gay friend of mine. The gay friend fell in love, and told the guy he was going to tell his girlfriend, so this guy beat the hell out of my friend and carved the derogatory gay slur starting with and F on his stomach. My friend was in the hospital for a month. 3 years after high school I ran into the guy who beat up my friend, and he was all out and proud then. I did happen to mention that incident though... just. It bothered me. That he did what he did, and then acted the way he did after. Like him coming out excused his shitty behavior. It happens quite often. Or it did back in the day for sure.

Love this show. Even though it's the typical University BL setting, the actual screenplay is so different! From the very first second with that ICONIC costume drama intro, to the "weak" lead who has a backbone and won't stand to be bullied, to the (very sexy) role play with Ton's sister, to the bucket of cold water instead of forgiving Ton easily and ACTUALLY knowing his worth... 👌👏👏👏👏 This series is SO REFRESHING!

So far in the episode I like that Chon is giving Ton a hard time. Finally Chon is loving himself more than he loves Ton and it also made me laugh. I don’t know how I feel about the way they made up. Yes, it is nice to learn that Ton had always also love and cherished Chon, but couldn’t show it because of his family(more precisely his dad) which is the really sad part in here and in real life. It would’ve been better if Chon had made it a little harder because I kind of want Ton to worker harder to genuinely win Chon back. I also low key want to see him cry too after seeing Chon cried so much and I want him to stop thinking so much of his father. Ton has been trying to hide his feelings during the years he and Chon were apart and that did not help. So he should just listen to his heart and to his feelings, but also think about Chon’s feelings too. Hope he learns from this experience to not deal with every situation with his ego and to protect his pride. Just protect his love ones.
