Hey guys, its okay you don’t have to apologize. We’ve also learned something from both of you, in which asking where are you staying is kind of bothering and alarming to people from different countries and we Malaysians have to acknowledge that as well. Ichang and Jimmy please don’t regret moving here ok, we love you guys and i hope that Malaysia will always be your second home 🏡
Tak tunggu orang asing sahaja rasa tak suka, ada sesetengah orang kita pun tak suka ditanya lelebih terutama makcik bawang. Adoiiii!!! Tak tahan weh...tanya soalan macam, ada anak ke belum? Eh kawin ke belum? dengan duda ke? Keje ape? Kete ape pakai? Rumah kat mana. Cukuplah jadi busy body makcik bawang oi. Jangan sibuk hal orang lain sehingga lupa mulut berbau sbb membawang banyak. Eeee....geram. 😑🤮🤢
@@noobster9212What do you mean by "to deny"? Did you mean to say "'to reject" Jimmy's apology? Nobody on this thread was taking it upon himself or herself to either deny or reject the apology. Two of us were outright saying it wasn't necessary. I for one was speaking for myself.
You don't have to apologise for it... You know as Malaysian, I also like to ask anyone that talk to me, where they're from, such as which state or hometown. From there we can know their culture, different state we have different culture.. As you said if you talk about weather to start a conversation, it's like a fake communications because you can see whether it's rain or a hot day😅 If people ask where you from, when you are in KL you can mention like maybe Ampang or Jalan Jelatek. When you are not in KL, you can say from KL.. We don't need your address 😅😅 We won't go to your house😂😂😂, it just how we started a conversations. When I get home, I have forget what are we talking about already😂😂😂 If you want to travel, just drive somewhere without searching intensively, just relax and chill.. Whatever video you all make, I watched it all😂😂😂❤🇲🇾
Malaysian working for a Japanese company here. Thank you for sharing this wonderful vlog! Malaysians are pretty chill about these kinds of misunderstandings, rather we really respect foreigners who are trying their best to learn our cultures. 🙇♂ Have a wonderful time in Malaysia ya!
Instead of putting the bar too high for yourselves, how about doing everyday things like going to the mall, restaurants, market, meeting people, friends etc? Personally, I love your channel because of your honest reactions to things in Malaysia and its people. You don't have to be travelling all over Malaysia to give us that content, you know. Even going to the local wet market, seeing how different things are with what you have in Japan would be great content, btw. We would love to see your reactions to normal everyday things too, and then educate us about how things are done back in your own country. Even a trip to the nearest pasar malam could be an interesting content if you go about it the right way. Either way, I'm praying for your success and don't worry too much about the Malaysian people, we don't actually take offense in every little thing, and those who did, they are just trolls and haters so ignore them. Cepat nau koyak, hahahahaha
Mau tak koyak! Mrk ni dah biasa dgn perfection. Bukan mcm kita ni. Lebih byk santai2. Kannn. Kita lebih pentingkan kesejahteraan emosi. Dah tak dpt capai tu sudahh..cuba lagi. Gitu lah kita kan
Yes I was also waiting the content from Ichang RM that start to compare slice of life differences at what Malaysia and Japan have. If Ichang RM can provide two nation difference in everyday life maybe your video will get significant view and will be the reference video for two nation to take lesson what both of us can improve to be a better nation
Good content idea. After a few years of ichang promoting about Malaysia, and Msian share to them about Msia, now its time for them to teach us about Japanese.
Malaysian are very diverse culturally. You will find that each ethnic communicate differently. Even Malaysians from other states communicate differently. The learning curve never stops. Stay strong Ichang and Jimmy. We all love you both.
Be yourself. Don't change who you are. There will always be sour apples where ever you go. If you think their question is prying, you can tell them in a polite way but firm that you'd rather not answer that question. And if they get offended by that, then that's their problem. You can't make everyone happy.
Please guys you don't have to apologise. Sometimes we forget that non Malaysians are brought up differently from ours. So in fact we are the ones who should apologise to both of you by asking personal questions that make you uncomfortable. Actually your talking videos gives are interesting looking at things from your perspective. I think when people start asking whether you don't like Malaysia and that sort of things is because we are worried that foreigners like you, our beloved guests are offended by our words or actions. Even us Malaysians, don't feel comfortable being asked personal questions. When asked where you stay, just tell them, Ohh somewhere around bla bla whatever area..don't have to be specific..because they also don't bother where exactly you stay. If they ask about your income...what i normally would say is "Yea, its enough for my daily needs. Or you can say, enough for the both of us"..something of that nature. Please continue your talking videos..something different for us to look forward to. I gained a lot of insights about Japanese opinions regarding their culture shock. Its also a good way for us to understand better about both of you. 👍👍👍 This is just my suggestion. Maybe you can do a collaboration with some Japanese expats who have lived in Malaysia for very long and do the talking video with them. Aya san from Aya Channel is a good candidate. Chaimaru channel has just given birth to a baby boy here in Malaysia...just to name another. There's Chongmage channel, Taka and Sho san. Sho is quite good in Malay even though both just arrived this year.
why should we apologise? thats our Malaysian way, you dont apologise for having different culture. they are the ones who should understand the locals more if they want to live here
@@amyri4666 give n take bro dont think yourself high and mighty everyone has their own thinking and perspective..just dont let your ego destroy the malaysian image of friendliness and tolerance..nobody is wrong nor right..its just a matter of accepting other opinion..

@@amyri4666I think he's referring to ichang & Jimmy apologising to those who commented on their previous video that "they (the commenter) was offended" by Jimmy discussion of the "where you stay?" question he got. I believe there's nothing offensive when a foreigner like Jimmy goes thru the trouble to make a video to clear up something that's confusing to him. So an explanation on their previous video would be sufficient, but not to the extent of finding it offensive. It's like you finding it offensive when your kid ask you a question - isn't that a bit extreme?!

No need for apologies! I saw nothing wrong about you guys’ observations on cultural differences and quirks. On the contrary, I’m enjoying them as much as the travel and all the makan adventures. There’s a lot we can learn from each other and you guys simply pointed out - based on your experiences - some strange quirks with Malaysians. All valid and we all know that despite best intentions, we will always offend someone and while I see no reason to apologize, you guys took the high road anyways. Class Act. Keep up the great work!
For a Malaysian who’s born and raised here, I find it refreshing to see your views and perspective of Malaysia. I get to rediscover the things in Malaysia that’s actually beautiful. Please keep on discovering Malaysia. Your experiences also help shed light for Malaysians to rediscover our own country. お疲れ様でした
Dear Jimmy & iChang its ok we malaysians are always very warm hearted & overly friendly a natural malaysian trait. Sometimes we also neglect our foreign friends feelings or unware of different upbringings which may feel weird or uncomfortable being asked a privacy questions. Dont be afraid malaysians truly mean no harm just wanna be closer to you as friends and thats our way to build a conversation. i suggest you guys have a fans meet up with Jimmy & iChang and meet & greet over teh tarik roadshows around malaysia and idea for you guys and from there malaysians can also see and feel in real how to converse with you both even better! have a wonderful day!
There is no need to be so serious. One person may be offended but a lot of people are not. I can see your humour and where you are coming from when Malaysian ask where do you stay. Cultural differences will always be there. If everyone is the same, the fun of travelling will not be there. You are not required to say only nice things about Malaysia. Malaysia is not perfect and no place is. Take it easy and take care.
Don't change, just be yourself. You both are great just the way as it is. P.S.: Asking ppl how much they make its actually privacy, you dont need to give straight answer. Just say enough to get by with simple comfortable life also a nice answer.
To make it short when the local ask: Examples Where you stay? - Kuala Lumpur at Mont Kiara (No details addres) How much you get from YT? - Ok lah sikit je/ just little. (With smile.) Do you have a kids? - Not yet (with smile) You married? - Yes many times (joke face) All questions you can answer it with jokes. Mostly they ask questions because they want to start the conversations and they are not serious. 😎
Hi Jim Chang I think these kind of 'chit-chat ' videos are relaxing too. We get to hear how foreigners feel about Malaysian culture. My Japanese friends never told me about it. It's good 👍
Haha some Malaysians are very kepochi!! Especially the aunties and uncles. So your next skill is to know which question is ice breaker / to find a connection, and which question is kepochi, and the next level is to know how to politely "tepis" the kepochi questions. This way your "HP" will go up and you can "power up" 😊
@@ichangrm but IChang and Jimmy, after you power up from "tepis" the kepochi uncles and aunties, you will need to master the "Boss Level Flexer", the most dangerous malaysian out there. The boss level flexer will trick you by asking a question to break the ice, but when you answer he will not make a connection but he will "flex". E.g. if he ask where you stay and you answer ampang, the flexer will say "You know how many Dato lives in Ampang? They all my friend. I also have house in Ampang but just to park my sports car". And if the question is where are you from and you say japan he will say "If I go holiday in japan I never eat lawson's chicken popcorn. I only eat wagyu". When you can "tepis" the "Boss Level Flexer" then your HP and Power Up is x 10! Haha
Don't take this issue as a serious matter. It's not wrong to protect your privacy. Do things like how you used to do. We understand your concern, but some don't, which is normal. Don't be sorry ichang & Jimmy. We can't please everyone, especially when you are non Malaysian. Keep up with your good videos. P/S: i love how ichang used the word 'kepoci'...😂
I have long been a silent fan of you guys and this is my first comment on your page. As a Malaysian, I just wanted to let you know that the way you celebrate Malaysia is a joy and delight for every Malaysian to witness. Your cultural sensitivity, depth of kindness and your ability to study the complexities of life with such grace, nuance and dignity are truly exemplary for the rest of us. Your channel is more than just food, travel or even culture. You guys are inspiring us how to view the world through the eyes of compassion, how to live in wonder of the ordinary and most of all how to see in each of us, no matter where we come from, all that is noble, good and true. I hope you know you are loved. And that what you do makes our world a better place. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
This is actually the process of learning and discovery of the biggest dragonball in malaysia - blending with the local. As many had said before, asking people ecpecially elders, ice breaking is the process of learning the true Malaysian culture. Keep strong iChang n Jimmy, so long as u sincere and wanting to learn with good faith, u will find the way. i always support u
Don't worry about some people.. we didn't take that as an offensive at all.. we love to explain to you guys what the actual meaning of all the questions been asked to both of you. Malaysian are so welcoming to be honest.. we love to offer our best hospitality to the outsiders as long as they know how to respect the sensitivity of our diversity as multicultural country
One of the most important things to understand and perhaps even assimilate into Malaysian culture is to take your time to appreciate the simple little things of life in Malaysia. Have moments for yourselves to experience the various facets of everyday living without worrying about documenting them. Malaysians are generally warm and understanding, and we definitely understand your struggles and aspirations. Believe it or not, your videos have actually connected Malaysians even more. Perhaps in some future videos both of you might want to join photography clubs or videography clubs, or even cooking clubs, or some other social shared interest clubs, where they may boost your understanding of Malaysia and its people even further. Stay safe stay healthy stay calm and stay curious.:)
everyone makes mistakes. but u never did anything wrong in my opinion!!! it’s not ur responsibility to please everyone. there will always be people who disagree with your life choices. keep doing what u want
Malaysian just want to know the state or district not address. Never address. Its normal for everyone to ask that when meeting new people. So dont worry about it and keep it up both. Love your videos ❤
Btl.. Tuk kenal org baru.. Selalunya tanya duk mana jer... Tp xda lah minta full address rumah kecuali kawan rapat or saudara mara yg mmg nk dtg ziarah
I love how you guys are so open to learning our cultural differences. And we Malaysians also need to open our heart to differences in other peples culture. Even different household will have different culture on how they were raised by their parents. So of course it will be a whole new world for you guys to adapt with our culture and custom. It is totally understandable
Who took offense to that?! Just ignore them. There is nothing to apologise for. You're just sharing your experience with culture shock, which is understandable because we all experience culture shock when we go to another country.
I watched yr video where you talked about certain question which to Japanese was impolite, but I didnt find any part offensive, because you two explaint it clearly that it might be normal for M'sian & no offence intended. To me that's what makes us different & that why we should travel more, see more, understand & learn more ,& open our minds to be tolerent to people of different colour & believe. I'm looking forward to more videos from you two. Greetings from Sabah ❤
i think generally people should not simply give their address or even share the building where you live. But i think the intention behind the question 'where do you stay' is not to ask for your address. It's just to know which area so that people can recommend more food or any attractions around your area. Being a Malaysian myself i get that question alot, and i would just answer 'i stay near Puchong' (example)
I'm a private person myself. When i stayed abroad, i used not to response to the 'where are you staying' question but came back to Malaysia, it's a common question to ask. It'll lead to the warm conversations. Thus, no need to apologise of your misunderstanding towards our culture. As you said 'kepochi', Malaysians also 'kepochi' in our own way🤭🤣 Nonetheless, thank you for trying to blend in with our unique cultures❤
i like your talking videos more tbh Running Man (Korean reality TV show) became famous because of their games & missions...but nowadays their fans enjoy the episodes where they do nothing and just chatting among the members I think mixing them is good
We asking that such a questions not because we want to get your privacy...we asked because we curious and sometimes want to start the conversation...anyways don't worry...we understand why you got offended...you guys are youtubers and almost every Malaysian know both of you...and you don't want to get any disturbing in your private life... anyways tq for letting us know and tq for the apologies...we love you guys
Hahaha... don't take it too seriously. We Malaysians can be a bit too overwhelming at times. Just enjoy the time here and focus on being yourselves ❤ we like you for you and your pure enjoyment of Malaysia 🇲🇾
I believe we Malaysian already considered you guys are Malaysian as well, I am shocked but happy that you share the culture shock video so that the misunderstanding can be clear up and we can have a better understanding of other culture.
No worries iChang & Jimmy take it as just introductions in getting to know each others culture more along the way. Be happy dont worry no harm done..enjoy yourselves 🤗
So nice of both of you! I understand sometimes making videos can be hard and people can misinterpret things. I wish you both the best in Malaysia🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾 😃
Why apologise? Privacy is important. We don’t know what are the intentions of some ppl. It could be malicious. Don’t worry about it. Not all Malaysians are comfortable with such questions. Anyways hope your enjoying your stay in Malaysia. Take care and have a good day.
I'm a very private person. I usually just reply the "Where you stay?" with simple answer like the region that I'm staying. Pretty broad but still a good answer imo. I live in Petaling Jaya, BTW.

Don't need to apologize as it's just part of the people who will be asking things like that and not everyone. There is no wrong or right as it just depends on individual opinion. Be yourself as you are not doing anything bad. Love you both.
Just looking both of you sat down and relaxing, that's really good. The blood pressure not going up but steady. We all learn from each others cultures. Since you all lives in Malaysia now, the wall of barriers slowly broken down as you open up and share how you 'feel' in the positive way. Lighten up a bit and smell the fresh air each morning when you start your day. Cheers.
Some people are saying you don't need to apologize. I think it is better to do so, if you feel you have wronged someone. It shows goodwill and sincerity.
Not agree... why do you need to apologize if you have not done anything wrong? 😅 It is ok if express our own opinion, culture shock/difference is normal when you stay/travel to other country 😅 How can we expect traveller to fully understand our culture and way of communication... 😅 As a Malaysian should be more open minded and tolerance for this case right...
You don't have to apologize. It's normal if you're having culture shock and is adapting with your pace. I enjoyed all of your videos,be it about food or casual talk like this. I also understand that you guys are output-ing all your experience . Please take a good rest and always be yourself!! Thanks again for this heartwarming video. Can't wait for the next chapter of Jimmy & Ichang ❤
Hi Jimmy n ichang, it's been awhile since you do cooking (Malaysian food) videos, while you enjoying life here in Malaysia why not do it once in awhile as you've got all the ingredients you need here. Btw just enjoy life as it is guys. Cheers.
Content creating can be annoying when u have no idea on what to video but u also worry about your followers so both sides pressure is tiring.. why don't u both go on a date and enjoy yourselves? Live your lives.. life is short guys don't waste it.. I hope you take my words to heart cause I want u guys to be enjoying Malaysia for Malaysia... Not another project.. we love you
I wish to see you do some cooking videos, like maybe recreating some of the Malaysian dishes you guys did when you were in Hong Kong during lockdown, now that you are in Malaysia where all the ingredients can be easily obtained, since you guys are putting a stop to your travelling momentarily. I mean it’s something you could consider while recharging yourself. It is always a joyful experience seeing you guys enjoying local cuisines! Thank you for loving Malaysia.
This is part and parcel of life being a RUclipsr and you don’t need to apologize for your recent videos which are not offensive at all but were truthfully real and sincere thoughts . There bound to be small hearted and sensitive people everywhere. Take your time to relax and recover , at the same time reflect on your YouTubing journey and see how you would like to go from there and avoid pressuring yourself. I think you have reached a plateau vlogging about your food eating adventure and life is inviting you to embark on a totally new phase. Go with the flow.. even to start something new and different. Take one step at a time … we will support you. Btw.. I think Malaysians should also learn to respect foreigners’ way of doing things as long as it does not affect public order.
I'm one of them who start a conversation with that question. Haha. Normally, someone with lack of communication skills will ask that 'template' questions, because our brain can only think of that question. There are stages of "Where do you stay". Say if I'm living in Ampang area, I definitely familiar with the neighborhood right. So, lets say if I met a stranger on a train, if I ask where do you stay, and if he or she answered Ampang, I will surely 1000% ask a follow up question, "aaa, which area/condo/taman" its because I can relate to where I'm staying, and at the same time, we try to find things we have in common. but if he answer, oh i'm from Seremban, then my question will only stop there because I'm not so familiar with that area. Then I'll come up with another 'generic' question like "what are you doing here/working here?". For someone that we always met on a daily basis, but not so close, the generic question that we'll ask "dah makan?" although I just met him at the care like 5 minutes ago. lol.
You have a good following in Malaysia. One idea for you. Do a live talk show with students in every university in Malaysia. Am sure the students will also like to know about life in Japan. It will be a good exchange for you and the students. That will be great content.
Well said at this video to clarify things up … as I also can sense your feeling from your previous video … until I took away my comments … on worrying you get offended too. 👍 Well done … after a short while able to understand & accept Malaysia people … on the way they talk to start a conversation and then making aspirations to continue to adapt in the rich lifestyle of Malaysia. 🙏 Keep up your good work as you do help us Malaysian to do reflection to ourselves too ❤ Ganbate kudasai…がんばて ください 👏👏👏

You are correct. If we exchange question like "abang berasal dari mana" we tend to put down what we are doing and spend half day telling the other party how good is our hometown.
Please don't apologize for being who you are guys.. we have to learn and love each other ...that is the whole point and that is what makes you guys special . I sincerely mean that . Malaysians also need to learn and understand that some people do have their personal and private boundaries that either they feel comfortable with or not. It does not mean we can't communicate with each other tho.... xoxo
You don't need to apologise at all! Even as a Malaysian, I feel a stranger asking me such a personal question is quite intrusive. What more if I was in the public eye. People forget that just because you always see them on TV, that you guys are friends and can ask such personal questions. RUclipsrs are human too with private lives, let's all try to respect each other's personal space.
I wouldn’t worry too much about what others think or say. You can’t please everybody! It’s interesting to know something about you both and for us to learn a little bit about the Japanese culture too. Enjoy the rest of your stay in Malaysia; chill and relax!
How much money you make is a bit too much. I get it, because it's not easy to get an answer to this question since not that many of us do meet someone making money from RUclips, but eh, I really hate talking about money. Where you stay is more normal, but I don't like that either. I'll tell them which state I'm from and they want to know which town or city lol. But yes, like iChang said, it's not about right or wrong on this either. Everyday stuff sounds good. Have a good break!
Morning Jimmy and Ichang. You don't have to apologise. These questions which you feel are personal are normal to us Malaysians especially to those that are close to us. No worries.
Hi iChang, just want to let you and jimmy know that I miss watching you and jimmy cook. I hope I can see more of these kind of content, since.. you're in Malaysia now and there are MANY MORE kuehs and desserts you're yet to make/learn how to make. And taking a break from traveling, doesn't mean you can't find local inspirations right?
Keep it up Bro & Sis… If there is any our friends have a weeding ceremonies or others ceremony ..Chinese / Indians / Malay or in Sabah &Sarawak Pls invite Jimmy&iChang …start from day one preparation exspecially in kampung / rural areas ..Lets them enjou together the ceremonies😊
Still waiting for you to start cooking again, always love those when i lived in New Zealand. Now i live in Malaysia for one year now so i do understand culture shock and icebreaking conversation starters. Relax La, we will be here when you post because you both are enjoyable to watch.
Will always support your journey Jimmy & Ichang... And keep an eyes on you both! Especially Jimmy! 👀 Kidding, I mean we will always look out for you both... 😉
Hi ichang 👋🏻 this is something that I learnt from my previous training on interpersonal communication where my instructor had given me some examples based on Malaysian case awhile ago. When people asked you where do you stay, it is sufficient for you to just mention the city that you live for example Petaling Jaya or PJ, Bangi, Kajang etc. No need to give details of your full address 😅😅. Sometimes Malaysians asked this because they wanted to know a little bit or roughly on your background. For example: if a respondent answered that they live in Mont Kiara (where usually most of elite people live), definitely the person who asked the question will know that there are possibilities that the respondent may come from elite social status, hence, certain common questions cannot be asked. Questions like duduk mana? (Where do you stay?), Dah makan? (Have you eaten?) etc are common questions in order for them to start a conversation. So it is sufficient to just anwer it in general. Hope you enjoy your stay in Malaysia 🥰
Yes.... yes .....just say p.j or k.l that is all. Me after 20 years following my late husband abroad, once back in Malaysia, i was almost like you both, I was a bit taken back when questions like that come out of their mouth, but trust me ,nothing more that just a icebreaker.
Yes it is. U don't have to provide full address like your home number etc😊. Just.. I'm staying in KL - enough. KL? Where? - Cheras ( for example). Enough. Normally when that person ask u further it might be they have something relate to that place. Maybe he had been there before or probably he has friend/ relatives also staying in that area or something like that. For example me myself I'm from Alor Setar, Kedah so whenever i have randomly converse with someone & happenly that person is from Kedah, i also will ask further 'Ooh Kedah.. which part?" 😅. Whatever it is, it's very kind of you both to make an open apologizing although u don't have to 😊😊. ****************** Inilah mentaliti orang dari negara maju. Terasa bersalah, cepat² minta maaf. Tak cepat melatah. Sentiasa rendah hati. Sesuatu yang wajar dicontohi ❤.
I think it is a bit of a culture shock anytime you move to a new country, sometimes it is something small that the locals don't even realize because we are used to it. No need to apologize, small matter! (This is also a very common Malaysian phrase 😁). But also something to keep in mind: In social media, we can't please everybody. Sometimes we can just smile and ignore certain comments. We can always agree to disagree. You don't owe anyone any explanations. I look forward to seeing more of your videos, I really like the way you also speak in Japanese half the time, it is the best way to hear you express your true feelings. Keep up the good work!
i inderstand u. sometimes i do feel, people ask too much questions especially personal ones, like are u married, how many kids, how much do u earn? i used to answer by questioning them even more personal questions but now i just say, i dont answer questions like that, people who are close to me will know the answers and if u dont then u r not in my close friends list.
No need for any apologies coz that was from your sincere, honest point of view - from your Japanese culture point of view. Tbh, I learnt a lot with great appreciation about my Malaysian culture. Both of you literally opened my eyes for me to "see" our Msian way of life with new eyes and to be happy to be Malaysian
I love this kind of thoughtful videos and also videos that show us what only someone who didn't grow up in our culture can see and notice about our culture. As much as others can learn about Malaysia through you and your videos, we Malaysians are also learning and laughing about ourselves at the same time. Please do take the break you need and let us hear more thoughts and opinions and feelings you have about Malaysia. Can't wait to hear it.
U need to take a break guys. It must have been hard to go from place to place doing the same thing over and over again. Loved ur content.. but I think ur popularity among the people of Malaysia is ur own downfall. Last time both of u came to Malaysia as this unknown couple going from place to place to enjoy all the wonderful food our country has to offer. Now.. being famous in the eyes of us Malaysian.. everywhere u go people will offer u free food. "Boss belanja"... u dont get to enjoy the real food but something that has been prepared specially for a famous RUclips couple. It is not ur fault.. we loved u guys but I believe u should take a break for a while.. Maybe do some different... i dunno that is my honest opinion. Anyway.. love u guys...!!!
I wonder if we Malaysian people tend to talk about deeper things from the first meeting. After listening to you, now I realized it's unusual for non-Malaysian 😂 I myself as an introvert tend to ask those questions to strangers I meet randomly like "where do you live?" "You live alone?"😂
That's ok, no harm done Just be yourself, dont preasure yourself and dont try so hard. We all love you guys. Be real. I understand you feel pressured in producing new content, take it easy. Maybe you can share your experience, cultural aspects in Japan.
You don't have to apologize. You didn't do anything wrong. It's standard question amongst Malaysian to start a conversation. No need to disclose details. Stay positive, joyful and enjoy your life here. We love listening to you, we love you just the way you are. Sending ❤❤ & Big hugs
As Malaysian im also receive so many offensive question from people, some question be like 1. Waa long time no see ah, why u getting fat recently 2. When will you get married? Your age quite older already 3. How much the salary you get per month?
As a one of your favourite fan, I agree with the ways u did, but still there is no need to feeling that guilty very much..plus both of you are our new neighbours. ❤ And yes, we Malaysian should learn something from both of you too which is should not directly asking such question and digging more information especially related with the privacy and soo on.. And yes, iChang and Jimmy, don't feel bad with it.. Both of you did doing great, and i can see both of you just wanna enjoy your day so its good right❤. And lastly, iChang, Jimmy i wanna say thank you to both of you for producing such promising video contain a lots of loves, humour and memories. Both of you really great❤. I hope u can enjoy ur day as our lovely neughbour and as a friend too❤❤❤. Thank you, loves from Malaysian.
Hey guys, u don't need to apologise. It's just cultural difference which is very much understandable. And you guys being RUclipsr, these kind of topics are much more sensitive. Btw I think asking how much you earn is a bit too much, that shouldn't be shared.
Hi guys....I saw the previous video and I was feel funny and happy, but I am sad now when I found this apologize video😢You are great, be yourself! No need to care someone's annoying😌 Looking forward to you all💪 Have a nice day😘
We Malaysians should apologize for making you uncomfortable with such a question. in Malaysia that might not be a problem. but if it makes you feel uncomfortable, I think Malaysians can understand and will not ask questions like that again. Asking things like that does not mean wanting to disturb your privacy. It's just a form of our concern for our guests.
Nobody should apologise. It is the culture. Either you adapt it to be part of it or you dont. If you can adapt it, it will be better in the future. To be part of a community, people need to understand the culture better. It goes everywhere in the world.
We have different cultures. Japanese are reserved people while Msians are very open & friendly. When l travelled in Japan,l learnt about this. I hardly talk to them maybe they are not confident to converse in Eng. I am not sure.
ichang is the best japanese youtuber ever that live in malaysia
If agree like if dont ignore
Hey guys, its okay you don’t have to apologize. We’ve also learned something from both of you, in which asking where are you staying is kind of bothering and alarming to people from different countries and we Malaysians have to acknowledge that as well. Ichang and Jimmy please don’t regret moving here ok, we love you guys and i hope that Malaysia will always be your second home 🏡
Nope. He absolutely should.

who are you to deny their apology?
@@noobster9212What do you mean by "to deny"? Did you mean to say "'to reject" Jimmy's apology? Nobody on this thread was taking it upon himself or herself to either deny or reject the apology. Two of us were outright saying it wasn't necessary. I for one was speaking for myself.
You don't have to apologise for it...
You know as Malaysian, I also like to ask anyone that talk to me, where they're from, such as which state or hometown. From there we can know their culture, different state we have different culture.. As you said if you talk about weather to start a conversation, it's like a fake communications because you can see whether it's rain or a hot day😅
If people ask where you from, when you are in KL you can mention like maybe Ampang or Jalan Jelatek. When you are not in KL, you can say from KL.. We don't need your address 😅😅 We won't go to your house😂😂😂, it just how we started a conversations.
When I get home, I have forget what are we talking about already😂😂😂
If you want to travel, just drive somewhere without searching intensively, just relax and chill..

This is just my suggestion.

Good idea meet the fans what's most appreciated than having teh tarik sessions

Just say thanks for your support. Just enough la and a big smile, please continue to support us
To make it short when the local ask: Examples
Where you stay? - Kuala Lumpur at Mont Kiara (No details addres)
How much you get from YT? - Ok lah sikit je/ just little. (With smile.)
Do you have a kids? - Not yet (with smile)
You married? - Yes many times (joke face)
All questions you can answer it with jokes. Mostly they ask questions because they want to start the conversations and they are not serious. 😎
We embrace cultural differences. Most of us don't even get offended so there's no need to apologize to please everyone.
Hi
Jim Chang
I think these kind of 'chit-chat ' videos are relaxing too.
This way your "HP" will go up and you can "power up" 😊
😆😆😆
Love your comment. I havent mastered the art of tepis!

Please don't apologise for your discoveries! Malaysians are learning so much about cultural differences from you. Keep on doing what you are doing!
Malaysian just want to know the state or district not address. Never address. Its normal for everyone to ask that when meeting new people. So dont worry about it and keep it up both. Love your videos ❤
Yeah...sometimes people we asked do give full address even the house number and invite to their house but we never keep in mind. 😂

As you said 'kepochi', Malaysians also 'kepochi' in our own way🤭🤣
Nonetheless, thank you for trying to blend in with our unique cultures❤

For someone that we always met on a daily basis, but not so close, the generic question that we'll ask "dah makan?" although I just met him at the care like 5 minutes ago. lol.
Just do what makes u feel happy & enjoy Malaysia 😊
You have a good following in Malaysia. One idea for you. Do a live talk show with students in every university in Malaysia. Am sure the students will also like to know about life in Japan. It will be a good exchange for you and the students. That will be great content.

Still waiting for you to start cooking again, always love those when i lived in New Zealand. Now i live in Malaysia for one year now so i do understand culture shock and icebreaking conversation starters. Relax La, we will be here when you post because you both are enjoyable to watch.
No worries! some malaysian are just too sensetive.. we are sorry too. i even learn from you guys to respect people privacy.
True true 😂😂😂😂
correct correct correct ... just answer the district where u staying.. not specific address.
Yes.... yes .....just say p.j or k.l that is all.

Inilah mentaliti orang dari negara maju. Terasa bersalah, cepat² minta maaf. Tak cepat melatah. Sentiasa rendah hati. Sesuatu yang wajar dicontohi ❤.
Hope you guys can cope up with some annoying and kepocie malaysian people.. keep enjoying yourselves in Malaysia 🇲🇾❤
Don't need to apologize! That's you guys discovering and experiencing our Malaysia culture 😊. Really love your videos so keep it up guys ❤
No need to apologise you guys have great just that take a break from burnt out like exploring nature❤
Wonderful. Thank you for this video.
As Malaysian im also receive so many offensive question from people, some question be like
1. Waa long time no see ah, why u getting fat recently
2. When will you get married? Your age quite older already
3. How much the salary you get per month?
😂😂😂
As a one of your favourite fan, I agree with the ways u did, but still there is no need to feeling that guilty very much..plus both of you are our new neighbours. ❤
And yes, we Malaysian should learn something from both of you too which is should not directly asking such question and digging more information especially related with the privacy and soo on..
Absolutely agree with you!
