Even after the update, the aircraft does not turn on the ground and the sounds of the engines, especially when they start up, are very low. I just hope they keep updating it
Very nice review. I think that this is mostly angled towards Xbox players, rather than PC players, obviously, but they seem to have fallen short yet again. Maybe another Horizon Sim Mod is required? Also, have you seen anything on the Horizon Sims new 787-9 preview?
They specifically said the A340 (and the a330 when updated at the same time) will be VATSIM capable, so they're not aiming for just X-Box players, but in the middle.
Basically, 30+ euro for an unfinished aircraft with low-res cockpit textures, lots of basic controls missing like APU & Engines fire tests, a non-functional flight plan import process. Well, I'd say that's a big NO for now 🙂. Besides, Gavin, nice touch to fly with the EI-HJN. I've flown on it coming back from KJFK to LIRF on august 😀and it's a really nice, brand new A339!
LVFR I have a problem with the a330-900 neo, the problem is when I put together the flight plan and I put fly, it puts the charging screen (that's normal) but when I turn on the batteries the screens don't turn on and that, in general, the iPad inside the a330, that is, all, all the screens in black and sometimes it takes me out of msfs.
To me it looks like they rushed this out before it was ready. That seems even more likely given the constant updates they are putting out. The Headwind will take a lot of beating.

Had to watch this to get your opinion. Bought it last night (to my chagrin). I had a big smile when you mentioned not being able to find a place/option to calibrate your TM Airbus Throttle. I have been writing comments on that very issue at various places (LVFR Forum, RUclips, MSFS Forum). Some offered suggestions, but, sadly, none worked. Since that is a critical item for me, I have uninstalled this plane and (being a PC user), will stick with the much better Headwind. I am disappointed as I hoped LVFR would add the calibration option to this offering since it would indicate the coming A340 would also have it. I don't expect that will happen now. Not sure how I would ever fly the A340 without calibrated throttles. I am not keen to use an X-Box controller on my PC to fly these airplanes. Seems like that is their intent. If not for the Horizon mods, the other LVFR Airbus models (A318, A319, etc) would also be useless to me. Too bad LVFR is not allowing a mod for the A330 since it badly needs one if it is going to be useful to PC pilots. Nice having all the liveries, but they should have spent more time on the important things rather than making the beautiful "eye-candy". 😒
For the throttle control, I'm using the Thrustmaster TCA Airbus. And I find that it doesn't work with linear sensitivity the same way Headwind does. So I duplicated to a new profile and reset the sensitivity curve to the default Asobo one. And that helps aligning the detents correctly.
Players getting ripped off again if they fall for this one. The PMDG 737-600 is like similar price and FBW A320 is far superior and free! £30 for this low fidelity in flight model and systems just doesn't cut it anymore, sure if you want to throw money away and support more of these then fine, but the two above or even a non liner like the TBM 850 for £29.99 is far better. Standards are far higher these days and dev's need to meet these or they are always gonna struggle in reviews when people compare them. A shame but some far better options avail now and even better ones coming soon. Cheers for review & content - nice👍

The LatinVFR A330 was never meant to be high fidelity stuff. Neither in flight model nor functionality. For what it is supposed to be, it is alright. Not 30 dollars alright, but for sure freeware alright. Nonetheless PC simmers are definitely not the target audience for this, it would be just foolish to assume it both from the developer and the customer end

I'm interested in their a340-300 to see how that turns out... havent seen a good -300 ever since blackbox came out with their attempt at one on fsx/p3d

£30 For a BETA or maybe even an ALPHA. For anybody who wants to fly from A to B and does not care what goes inbetween then it's fine. But it needs the assistance of Horizon (Again) to make it even enjoyable to fly, and partially realistic, but i understand LVFR and NOT going to allow Horizon near this one! Maybe when the eventual finished game comes out it might be worth looking at, but then will they charge more for the finished game? if Not and same price, will they reimburse all the BETA testers who buy it now?
Thank you for the video as a PC user i will keep on using the headwind a330 which is great. a definitly agree with your assessement of this aircraft as well as with your final statements. best
Headwind like FBW not having cabin passengers is a big no for me althoug free , so i will stick with Fenix, PMDG 737, A310 and ATR. I hope LVFR will improve this plane, there is not a single GOOD NEO with passengers cabin.
I got all the top level airliners on MSFS , Xplane 12 and 11 and I bought it yesterday. I actually like this plane. So if you’re thinking about it. Get it. It’s not the A study level, but it’s fun. The cabin is beautiful.
LVFR's modeling is much better than the headwind that just uses the asobo cockpit that is badly converted into an A330. The exterior is literally just a freeware FSX/P3D model converted to MSFS. The systems are the only thing helping headwind, and those aren't even theirs either. If LVFR had better systems, it would be an instant winner.

Wait a second it`s pre release version or final ? " LatinVFR has committed to future free updates that will further enhance this addon, making it a dynamic and evolving product for the flight sim community. The community will certainly be paying attention to that ..." I hope and think they will make improvments and don`t think they released it to soon if it`s flyable with LNAV/VNAV simbrief integration and so on. I like it more then Headwind that is better in systems but developing it will take much more time then LVFR to study level.
Hi @Easyjetsimpilot, apparently the A330 NEO specifically has a different flare law to the CEO and also the A320s. Rather than trimming forward it goes in to a more 'Direct Law' mode giving very conventional control input. So the lack of autonomous nose down assistance is about right. Seems the larger wingspan and huge Trent 7000's had a somewhat "naturalistic" effect of the flight characteristics, perhaps?! An actual A330 NEO pilot talks about it here: ruclips.net/video/QUr1FnP54KY/видео.htmlsi=U18DedyIDZgrLNuC at 18:30.
Wow no throttle calibration, thats a deal breaker for me. All other short commings compared to the headwind aside, not being able to calibrate the throttle is unacceptable.
Regarding the landing it really seems to be that A330 takes longer for the nose gear to come down, you can check A330 landings here in youtube. The rest, it seems not really worth it. The flight deck textures are poor quality, the flight pad subpar, flight model generally questionable and even though it wasn't shown here, I really don't have much confidence that the plane can fly the RNAV/LNAV planned and calculated profile trustworthy, let alone handle any kind of exceptions or changes to it during the flight.
That's a shame, it certainly looks the part. I wonder why they put it out at that price point before testing some of the absolute basics? Again, it does look nice though.

They just don’t. The MCDU is literally a stock assobo system, flight model is pitiful, it doesn’t display any of the correct modes on the PFD.
How do you walk through the cabin when loaded in? i can’t figure it out?
A great video, I really enjoy flying the Headwind A330 and nothing you mentioned in this video has convinced me to change to the LVFR version
yeah except the A320 interior on the HW A339n.........🥱
Even after the update, the aircraft does not turn on the ground and the sounds of the engines, especially when they start up, are very low.
I just hope they keep updating it
yes the nose wheel of a330 take a while for touch down
Are the livery's Included?
Very nice review. I think that this is mostly angled towards Xbox players, rather than PC players, obviously, but they seem to have fallen short yet again. Maybe another Horizon Sim Mod is required? Also, have you seen anything on the Horizon Sims new 787-9 preview?
Unfortunately Horizon is not going to as they also ended development for the other LVFR products
@@VetskuGaming LVFR actually said they won't support Horizon, so it's more on LVFR than them. I'm really side eyeing LVFR right now.
@@VetskuGaming That's a shame. Maybe not then
@@ElliotJones-c1e LVFR said the opposite if you read their later posts that day.
Unfortunately, it’s the only widebody airbus available on the Xbox. I will definitely be buying.
Why does the virtual cabin look so much like the 777?
I think the real-world A330 is known for keeping the nose up longer during landing, and smooth touchdowns in general.
Very much do! The A330 is known for having a high flare rate
Here’s what you have to do to get the flightplan in the MCDU:

But why is The Sound in The Cockpit so Loud
why didn't you wait for a review before buying it?
@@Tuskin38 'Cause I'm stupid. Thanks for the reminder.
For the throttle control, I'm using the Thrustmaster TCA Airbus. And I find that it doesn't work with linear sensitivity the same way Headwind does. So I duplicated to a new profile and reset the sensitivity curve to the default Asobo one. And that helps aligning the detents correctly.
sorry, just replying here to save this as I also own a thrustmaster tca airbus and am considering buying this
Players getting ripped off again if they fall for this one.
Very poor. I guess we’ve all been spoilt by Fenix.
incredibly spoiled
Spoilt? Fenix is the only flyable Airbus in the game
@@superjet1007 genuinely, I once tried the stock a320neo and before I even got into cockpit view and seen the 2 sets of NAV lights be on at same time I had little hopes, the cockpit as well, lord have mercy, not sure if like 20% of it is clickable 🤣 am just waiting for Fenix to release IAE version and then the A319 and A321 eventually
@@superjet1007 untrue statement
The LatinVFR A330 was never meant to be high fidelity stuff. Neither in flight model nor functionality. For what it is supposed to be, it is alright. Not 30 dollars alright, but for sure freeware alright. Nonetheless PC simmers are definitely not the target audience for this, it would be just foolish to assume it both from the developer and the customer end
the nose gear being half in the ground bothers me and the main gear animation not angling the same as the real one also bothers me as well as the touch down animation... as someone who is beta testing the aerosoft one... I would hands down say to wait for the aerosoft one or use the headwind for the time being...Not because im trying to sell it but because I genuinely think it might be a better option when its out... only thing this one has over the headwind for now in my personal opinion is the cockpit model looks like an a330 and theres a cabin and the external model has dirt texturing to look used... thats about it... I'm interested in their a340-300 to see how that turns out... havent seen a good -300 ever since blackbox came out with their attempt at one on fsx/p3d
Wait, they don’t charge you 9.99 for a pack of 3 random liveries??
As a console flight simmer I never can fly vatsim. So an aircraft like this would be just fine for me.
Not worth it. Should be freeware. I’ll stick to the headwind thanks!
It’s not released to the public or am I missing something ?
Marketplace.
It’s released?
The cockpit it certianlly more accurate than the Headwind, though the Headwind team are currently making their own.
Thanks for saving me $52 AUD Gav 👍
If i make a Plan for a Flight in the Msfs map do it Transfer it in the Mcdu like the asobo a320 ?

£30 For a BETA or maybe even an ALPHA. For anybody who wants to fly from A to B and does not care what goes inbetween then it's fine. But it needs the assistance of Horizon (Again) to make it even enjoyable to fly, and partially realistic, but i understand LVFR and NOT going to allow Horizon near this one!
Maybe when the eventual finished game comes out it might be worth looking at, but then will they charge more for the finished game? if Not and same price, will they reimburse all the BETA testers who buy it now?
Thank you for the video as a PC user i will keep on using the headwind a330 which is great. a definitly agree with your assessement of this aircraft as well as with your final statements. best
Is it worth it for Xbox users?
Headwind like FBW not having cabin passengers is a big no for me althoug free , so i will stick with Fenix, PMDG 737, A310 and ATR. I hope LVFR will improve this plane, there is not a single GOOD NEO with passengers cabin.
I got all the top level airliners on MSFS , Xplane 12 and 11 and I bought it yesterday. I actually like this plane. So if you’re thinking about it. Get it. It’s not the A study level, but it’s fun. The cabin is beautiful.

Headwind all the life.❤

Would be great if it was FBW compatible.
I ❤ the Headwind.
The simbrief does transfer from the tablet, you just have to simply give it time, and not RUSH and start pressing buttons PATIENCE young man.
Hello and good video,I flew the A330 X-PLANE 12,A320 Fenix,A32NX flybywire and the headwing A330 and all of the are great andclimb normal and perfect but this A330 latinVFR takes forever to climb something is wrong and when I select the Payload and fuel on the ipad the zfw is different on the mcdu and If I load the simbrief flightplan automatically the zfw and fuel is different and again something is wrong with this airplane A330 LatinVFR
They said it will be updated with more features around the same time their A340 comes out.
As much as I want an a330, I guess I will just stick with the fenix a320 until aerosoft finally releases. Whenever that may or may not be
There is always the Headwind A330-900N.
@@Easyjetsimpilot ….. Ive seen mixed reviews. I realize its free, but is it good?

That was the IAS, the actual speed was about 140kts.
All other short commings compared to the headwind aside, not being able to calibrate the throttle is unacceptable.
i agree with you its rubbish headwind all the way for me
A320ceos have oans too as an option...
Is it on Xbox ?😊
That's a shame, it certainly looks the part. I wonder why they put it out at that price point before testing some of the absolute basics? Again, it does look nice though.
I get that same tablet with the A321
i bought it but i think its really expensive
