In this LittleHomeProjects video I clean out my gas fireplace after it's been sitting through a year long renovation. Drywall dust, soot, and sand grit have built up over time. I also reassemble the fireplace after being separated into pieces for painting and storage. I changed the colour from red to a matte black high heat paint.
I've also added some 3 hour fireplace videos for the winter season: a closeup of the fire for smaller TV's and a wider one for larger screens.

Very well spoken and concise. Easy to watch and helpful tips as well.
Good job!!
Great video and informative.
Can you remove logs and update with lava rock or glass? Ive seen people do that along with painting the gold bar supposedly it works fine but comes off easily if scratched dosent seem like it will be getting hit a lot though
Would suggest using white vinegar on anything like the glass so you do not get harmful fumes from glass cleaner.
Cool, thanks for the tip!
Hi I didn’t see you do anything around the pilot? Do you ever have trouble with spiders causing the pilot to go Out? I’m going to take mine apart tonight again. My husband did the install and maintenance on the fireplace yearly, he’s been gone 7 years and this will be the first time I’ll be cleaning the glass. I had made a video 2 years back when I got the darn thing finally going but the pilot keeps shutting off when I hit the switch. Someone suggested I clean around the igniter with sand paper and look for spider webs... kinda nervous to poke around in there but my kids complain about the cold and walk around the family room wearing blankets lol. Got to love Canadian winters 🇨🇦
Hey Bud, ye gold bar, like, it may be in the wrong place. .
Up or down? Three or four?
