It's actually the build i wanted to do after hearing the Akko switches, thanks for giving me the perfect instructions to build my first keyboard.
I looooove how much you do for your typing tests. One of the best of all the keyboard channels on RUclips and I’m subbed to over 50 of them. Please keep it up with the long typing sound segments. I could listen to you tap around on your keyboards for hours. Thank you!
😍😍 Thank you so much !! I'm very very happy for this and I really appreciate it. Thanks for watching my videos 🥰
I bought a GMK67 kit one week ago for 32€ on Aliexpress, I can't wait anymore to test it and compare it to my gaming mechanical keyboard 😁
I can't get over how aesthetic the white board and black keycaps look, I keep clicking this video whenever it appears on my feed lol.
Same 😂
Loved this video and the build! ❤
I recently bought an attack shark k86, and made some mods on it too, changing the standard switches for gateron's brown, and pudding keycaps too, and I'm happy with the result I got.
Love the editing style of the video. You inspired me so much! Thank you, great video
Agreed❤
I got this board this week and I'm already using it. It's my first board but it's surprising how good it sounds stock, with the mods I hope it sounds this good.
I have no regrets having this board. It's really surprisingly worth it. Try to mod yours and you will really love it 😃
That's good to hear! I'm thinking of getting this board too, but I'm worried it'll feel light and cheap. How much do you think it weighs?
@@tiffanyw6977 It's light but not really. about the feels, it doesn't feel cheap. the sound profile is on point and the design is clean. I don't currently have weighing scale but for sure this is under 1kg . Tbh this is my daily keyboard now :D
How bad were the stabilizers?
Do u think the switches will still sound good without lubing? @PJVC
Loving the filmic feel on this video, also awesome keyboard.
Thank you so much ! Been trying to switch into this kind of video to make it different xD
@@PJVC I hope you would continue with it it looks very nice haha.
I loved this build. It sounds so good for the price. I’m thinking of trying to copy your build!❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
@@PJVC I DID IT! tysm for the inspo
how did it turn out? Does it sound just like the video? Im thinking of doing a similar build..@@oxymsx
Good review! My GMK67 is coming soon and I have the Akko cream yellow V3 switches too. Definitely a good budget switch!
Same and a very nice combination! you will not regret :D happy typing !
Im doing the same build with some cherry profile switches that look super good im so exited for it to arive❤😊
🥲luv the editing and what’s beautiful build!
Thank you so much I really appreciate it
Oorder na ko same board and switches hoping na ganyan din kalabasan hahaha.
does it have keymap driver or sth to change the fuction for each key ?
Does the type of keyboard case make a difference in sound? Should I better get an aluminum?
I LOVE YOUR BUILD !! so comfortable 👀👀
It sounds so good. I could sit there for hours and listen to it❤
I ordered this board (but in black) with ktt mints and exact cherry wob pbt ds caps and I cant wait to build it!
yey! Enjoy it bro!! :D
@@PJVC Hey, any idea on where i can buy similar keycaps from? Are there ones on aliexpress?
Is the stock stabilizer good? Or i need to get a better one? And u use the foam they gave us right? Or u replace the foam?
can u gave me recomendation which the best creamy switches u ever had before ??
I love this sound so much
Wow, your video has really nice colours to it. What film filter did you add on post? BTW, do you use davinci to edit videos? I got this keyboard with the same switches recently and I'm really satisfied with it.
Hey dude, can I ask on what is the wire balancing thing you used for the stabs? Seems like a life saverrr!!
love this build, after building tactile on the gmk67 I build pretty much this into the gmk87 and it sounds just as nice, still not sure if im a fan of the akko cream yellow pros yet though.
Hii! Did you custom lube the creamy yellows? If so which lube did you use?
shoukd i buy this or stuff like the lk61, gas67, keychrone v2 or the epomaker ek68
This sounds ridiculously good for the price. Might get one for carrying purpose
Yeah it's very good for its price. Actually, this is gonna be my daily driver keyboard now :D and also it's very light that you can bring anywhere.
Im copying ur build im saving up rn and im super exited for the end result
Hi bro @pjvc what's that wire balancing jig you're using?
good for you man
does it sound the same irl? thats mainly what im hesitating to get the cream yellows
are seal pbt keycaps compatible with these switches?
Bro that thing looks so cleeaan
Can anyone tell me what that wire balancing tool is?
Nice build, whre do you get our lube in that quantity on aliexpress there is only small recipiants that's not worth it
why do you put the tape mod on? why do you need it on?
Awesome video!!
Thank you so much I really appreciate it 🌟
Very good sound, i like it❤
Me encanta el sonido, suena a crema jsjsjs
how are you getting that much flex on thus board I just got it and it doesnt flex nearly as much
Just wondering, what knobs fit on this board, I was searching for some replacements knobs on Amazon but they all seemed too big compared with the gmk67 tiny knob , please help
I am not really sure what other knobs fit in it :(
Nice build and vid sir!
thank you so much! i really appreciate it 🌟
Why is it that some peoples GMK67’s sound so much better than others? I only rlly see the tape mod done after the board is opened up and it sounds so much better than just dropping switches straight in.
It sounds fantastic! I'm waiting for my gmk67 to arrive but I have jelly black switches, I wish I had seen your video before buying the switches and chose cream yellows instead lol. Do you think this kb will sound good with jelly blacks? I really like how poppy and creamy your keyboard sounds and I don't know if mine will have a similar sound profile with my switches.
I also like jelly black switches since I have tested them, so there's no need to worry about them. But for me, the creams really just sound creamier. it might sound different but it is really sound preference :) I'm sure jelly blacks will not disappoint you also
How much did you spend in total?
damn your keyboard sounds soooo goood
Also was corious about pcb i know it supports screw in stabs but in another review one guy said tx and durock just simply cant be screwed what should i do ?
mod stock ones by just wire balance and grease the wire and lube stems xd its been over a year
I have never had a mechanical keyboard before. I have been thinking of getting a prebuild like Nuphy Halo65 or Keychron. But halo65 would have to be imported and would cost 2-3 times the Gmk65. Can you suggest me if I should get this barebones, and build myself, is it beginner friendly?
Tips from fellow viewers is appreciated as well.
This barebone is very beginner friendly. It is also fun to do mod. As you can see in my video it's a very basic mod but it turns out pretty well. So if you have time to build and mod a board then I highly suggest this kind of setup for you :)
is it trimode?
Sadly it's difficult to find Akko v3 cream yellow, nowadays you will always find the v3 pro version. They are good, pretty similar to v3, but the curve is slightly different. And if you search a comparison v3 cream yellow vs v3 pro cream yellow, you will find a deeper sound. For my ears, that deeper sound is not as good as the v3 cream yellow. Maybe for someone else, can be.
For creamy sounds, surely Akko v3 cream yellow, Gateron milky yellow and WS Morandi are the best choices to start, and for budget keyboards.
Of course you need to lubricate in the correct way, and use good keycaps (usually PBT/ABS doubleshot). And tape mod can a lifesaver in some builds.
My fav profiles are XDA and MOA, because I love rounded keys, but sometimes the profile can make a difference (for example OEM or highers, because they are pretty tall)
Hey I just got this board recently and modded it would you recomend me using the pe foam mod or should I stick with the stock Ixpe foam
He used stock foam so if u liked his sound just keep stock foam!❤
Im going with gmk67 and akko rose reds, would it be a poppy sound or how would it sound?
Btw what tape did you use? Can i use masking tape?
dam could you do this with the cream blue switches
What kind of paper did you stick on the bottom of the circuit board, i mean what is it called?
painter tape
hey im new to custom keyboards what kind of tape did u use. ty
Just a regular masking tape
How did you get it to sound that loud? Mine sounds silent compared to yours
Maybe it's because of my microphone. It's a boya pm700 condenser microphone. It is very close to my keyboard during the typing test. Just above my hand
Hello friend, I have a doubt with the GMK67 keyboard, I don't know what to do to up or down the volume from the knob, I enter the keyboard software but I do not clarify what you have to do to configure it.
If you could help me I would be very grateful.
You mean if you move the knobb it wouldnt reduce or adjust the volume? try pressing the knob. that happens to me also
@@PJVC Yes, I just mean that. I try to upload or lower the volume of my AIMP music program but it does nothing. I have also tried to press the knob.
i wanna see some content of you doing two sound profile in one board..
for example, this GMK67 in THOCK profile and another content for CLACK profile. that would be nice. i think thats kinda unique content. and i know some audience are kinda curious too.
Ohhhhhh!! What a nice suggestion I'll take note of this :D
Agreed @Unclelroh.
it is a creamy keyboard indeed
I dont have any keyboard lube so can i just not lube anything? Im doing the same build. Or should i use some other lube. I cant get this lube because the shipping is like 50 Dollars.
I also dint have lube and i think it will still sound good but not as thocky (deep sounding)
Switches in video are manually or factory lubed?
Manually lubed :)
I just put together the same custom can you tell me where you can download the software
I'll try to find it later ill drop it here
Awesome Build! I also wanna ask about your keyboard mat that is the size of your keyboard, what's the name of it and where can i find it? Thanks!
It's called keebmat. This one is glorious www.gloriousgaming.com/products/glorious-sound-dampening-keyboard-mat
What would you prefer, the Akko Creamy Yellows or the KTT Kang White? Im thinking of buying this kit as my first custom keyboard, but im contemplating on the switches that I should buy, personslly, I like the creamy sound profile than the thoccy one. Also, what mods and keycaps would you suggest on this kit to get more of the creamy sound profile? Thanks!
This is just my preference. For me I like the cream yellows v3 of akko. This switch is my new daily favorite :D just lube them and you're all set!
@@PJVC if i dont lube them will they then sound bad?❤ thank you!
Hi, amazing keyboard! Does the cherry profile keycaps have interference with the akko cream yellows?
no since the board has south facing led so there is no interference with cherry profile keycaps
@@PJVC Just an FYI, but there are details **other** than switch-orientation that can cause modern switches to interfere with Cherry profile caps; like the shape of the light condenser/diffuser that more & more switch manu's are including in designs (Kailh's squared-off LED insert used in switches like Kailh BOX Bullets, for example).
Also, the first round of Cherry Hyperglide top-housings didn't have the little "divot" on the N/S faces which would catch on GMK stems, causing scratches & affecting the feel! Just these two examples on top of the fact that all of the various manufacturers of Cherry profiles have different physical qualities, internal/external shaping & thicknesses, structers & tolerances, etc. - it's a valid question.
Not implying any of these are what OP was-or-wasn't referencing, but just some things to keep in-mind when new switch molds & designs are concerned. 👍🏽
Can you check if the switch affects the RGB color at all due to the yellow housing?
not really. still looking good :D
@@PJVC thank you
What did you use for wire balancing
Bought those from shopee :D
Was planning on buying this kit. Can you recommend a more clacky switch?
The akko rose red is more clacky if thats what u like. Hope it helps❤
All links don’t work
I already ordered this board and im so exited since its my first build an im limited in budget so will not be using dielectric grease for lube will it change much ?
Dielectric grease is only about 8 usd for 250 gm
It will change the feel a lot and the sound only a little bit
what would you recommend? the gmk67? or the finalkey v65?
If you're on a budget and you don't want a heavy one. Get the gmk67 (plastic)
but if you have a bit extra of $$ go with finalkey v65 :D
Would you get this keyboard OR the FinalKey V65
prolly this one cuz im on a tight budget and this kinda fits it
hi there, i ordered gmk67 with akko cream yellow v3 PRO with SA profile keycap, and further research i founded that the PRO version is not as thocky as non PRO one as it is more higher pitch pop sound, i have not yet seen someone else building keyboard with gmk67 with the cream yellow v3 PRO, so im just wonder with all that fact, gmk67, cream yellow v3 pro and SA keycap, with mods provide in the video, will my keyboard come out as thock deep sound?
It should because my config is the same and it thocks hard
Did you lube the switches or just stuck with the pre-lubed
His switches are lubed but factory lubing by Akko is actually very good so it’s not essential.
What a creamy build
thank you! this board is really bang for the buck 🌟
Is tape mod safe? I see some people have problem with their pcb
So far I didn't have any problem with my boards. all of them have tape mod ;D
what switch opener did you use to open the cream yellows when lubing them? are they kahil style switches?
Yes it is kailh style switches :D
@@PJVC damn mukhang mapapabili pa tuloy ako switch opener 😂 yung sa current switch ko kasi tweezer tweezer lang bukas agad e
@@iantune haha invest na may mga murang 3d printed na switch opener solid din :D
hi! how did you get the card between the frame and the case? mine won’t budge
Just slide with some amount of force back and forth until it goes inside
its knda hard on the first time
Hi would you prefer adding extra case foam or is it fine with the stock case foam??
For me, it's fine with the stock case foam. But Probably I'll try adding extra soon :D to test the difference
@@PJVC nice thanks alot!
@@PJVC btw your videos are on point!
hey really appreciate ur content ! can u tell me if its worth buying the akko v3 cream yellow switches ? i'm kinda not sure bout buying those
just buy em they aren't expensive
It's very worth it . you dont have to hesitate since they are cheap switches also 😁
Do u think this is the best budget barebone under 80$?
for me yes ;D
Can I use Permatex or Krytox for both the housing and the wires?
Krytox 205g0 is way better. so it maintain it's smoothness. Permatex is a bit heavier.
@@PJVC thank you so much! Hope to see more videos from you.
How is a keyboard like this for gaming? I currently have a Corsair K95 Platinum with speed silver switches but I recently spilled coffee on it and the switches are sticky now. I've always wanted to have a go at making something a little more custom and thought now might be a good time if I can't think of a good way to salvage my K95. The price on something like this keyboard seems too good to be true. There must be a catch haha.
This keyboard is actually amazing. No catch. Just the board is very hard to open
Do u have video gmk with kang white?
For now i only have v65 with ktt kang white you can check it on my channel :D
Great video! I have follow almost exact build, it was thocky and creamy at first but it became poppy after a day or so, just wondering if anyone have any issue with this?
same problem with me but still don't know why
@@noobityxeah I’m pretty sure the switches breaks in, so it sound changes after awhile.
is the foam you put in included or did you buy them separately?
Everything used in this video are included from the kit :)
@@PJVC that’s insane. does it support screw in stabs?
sir may software daw yan? na try nyo po? if yes po kamusta naman
which one do you prefer? gmk67 or finalkey v65? im not sure if i should spend more money for v65 or not.
GMK67 is like the plastic version of finalkey v65. With your question, for me i will 100% get the v65 (if possible) since i like aluminum cases hehehe. but it doesn't mean gmk67 is not good it's just you have to choose between plastic or aluminum they both have different sound profile, I also have video of v65 you can check it out on my channel. tbh my daily drive keyboard since this video is made up until now is GMK67 :D
@@PJVC is the sound of the gmk67 consistent with all the keys?
which size screwdriver you use?
I'm sorry I don't really check the size # I just have different sizes of screw drivers to test which one will fit xD
Awesome vid! Saw someone saying the plastic feels cheap, what do you think?
For it's price It is 100% fine for me. This is actually my daily drive keyboard up to now since the day i build this board. It actually looks premium.
This build sounds very nice, great job! I'm curious, are you able to remap the keys using software? I generally remap my Caps Lock key to Fn with Via on other boards.
I haven't tried remapping yet, but as I have heard from other users of this keyboard it is possible.
@@PJVCI've been looking for a nice, wireless board that's south facing and has 2.4, not just BT. I'm between this and the Feker 80 Alice but I think I'll go this route. Thanks for the review and build.
@@PJVC just got mine built and it sounds similar to yours, so I'm extremely thrilled. Thank you for the inspiration! Also, remapping Caps to Fn is possible and super easy through their software.
Do these ship to the US?
You probably know the answer by now but yes, they are available on aliexpress.
How is the battery life?
I tried using it for about almost a week I think (unplugged). And it's about a week mostly used for the whole day.
Hi is akko cream yellow also good for gaming?please help
I'm using it for gaming and everything. :D Feels really good
@@PJVC cs silver and cream yellow not much different in terms in gaming??
Does it support rgb?
Yes :)
Are the switches lubed or not?
These are lubed :D
@@PJVC krytox 205g0?
@@thecoolestkidhere1322 yes
@@PJVC also, are the springs lubed with any other lube?
@@thecoolestkidhere1322 Lubed with krytox 105g0
Does this have rgb
yes
@@PJVC How do i turn it on and im guessing the rgb is not customizable
can you please try Akko cream blues
I will surely try it :) i just got my blues yesterday
@@PJVC nice I can’t wait 😁
are those really pbt? shopee comments say otherwise
I bought these keycaps about a year ago. the one that I saw on shopee right now is their ABS version. but it's half the price and I've seen the abs version, actually, it has a thicker legends which I actually prefer and looks better for me.

having trouble opening it?

this might hurt your little gamer fingers (like it did for me) but the pain will fade away in a few days
the effect makes the video bad, too hard for watching!
I personally enjoy the effect
