@ben bailey the medal ceremony was NEXT DAY, not on the same day as the competition, the adrenaline came down and his ankle was swollen. He used crutches even before the competition. And it's logical that after he jumped quads, the pain and injury got worse, the doctors told him not to do it
He attended the ceremony because he didn't want to disappoint his fans. He used crutches because he needed to. It's ridiculous to think he enjoyed the drama. It was too dearly purchased at the price of the injury. Being a skater who loves what he does so much, he would never be so stupid as to ruin his career and hard-won reputation in this way.
