Ladies and gentlemen, a classic Jack Scalfani moment in which instead of following directions, he insults the person he got the free source from. 18 years on YT and Jack hasn’t changed a single bit
You did it all wrong. I make butter all day. Where you messed up is you have to use either a hand mixer or a food processor and mix it until it goes from whipped cream until it becomes solid. I've been making it for years. You sir don't follow instructions 😢
You do realize that you called out Jack for insulting the source yet you're insulting him for shaking by hand (which I've done ,go ahead and tell me I did it wrong) instead of using a mixer
Showing your true nature here, huh? Guy makes free instructions on how to make butter. You don't follow instructions, and repeatedly insult him for your failure
Bro really lightly shook a jar of heavy cream for 5 min and was surprised that the result wasn't a stick of Kerrygold fresh out the refrigerator. It's called churning Jack it's a little more active than how you're used to "Jacking" off.
Jack, you just called someone you don’t know an idiot. This failure was total and complete user error, stop trying to blame others for you not doing it correctly.
Rather than admit you failed, you call the guy an idiot. That's not very humble or Christian of you. Being humble is a fundamental characteristic of Christianity. Humility is a virtue that is important for Christians to develop and is considered a condition for fellowship with God.
Let's not forget that Jack chose Whipping Cream instead of regular heavy cream, which need EVEN MORE churning than usual and he put in about as much effort as he usually does i.e. none...
Jack in all honesty, I know youre gonna read this the video has 49 comments. You have dedicated years of your life to this channel and cooking, why haven't you changed over the years. You haven't progressed a single step, not only in cooking but in your attitude as well. Do you really want to reach the old age of your life looking back on those things and realizing you lived a lie your entire life.
What gets me more than anything is Jack's inability to spend a couple minutes googling to figure out why his butter failed (while spending hours scrolling tiktok). Just no curiosity. People have been making butter for millennia; it's not a secret. There are multiple 1M+ viewed videos on youtube explaining how to make butter at home, most using a blender or churn, but some using the jar method. Yet Jack still poasts a video saying it doesn't work and that's that. Why does Jack think this is good content? What is the meaning of life? halp.
Anyone else want to see Gordon Ramsay and this guy go head to head? I want to see Gordon just blow a complete blood vessel trying to get Jack to follow the simplest directions. Let’s get Jack on Hells Kitchen.
I learned how to make butter in that EXACT way when I was in the 3rd grade. I saw it demonstrated once & was easily able to replicate the results. It definitely makes butter Jack To make this work you need to make sure that your cream is ice cold. You also need to use less cream so that there is more space for the cream to move/churn. You also need to shake the jar much more vigorously Jack The man from the source video ain't no liar, an idiot, or a magician Jack. The call is coming from inside the house in that regard
Video should be titled "how to make salted whipped cream" because that's what you did successfully. The cream needed to be agitated more than it was to get the whey to separate from the milk solids which is what butter is.
Jack.. this is a cooking staple. My mom's kindergarten classes have made butter in jars for YEARS. If you can't shake it in a jar then put it in a mixer. C'mon man..
Okay let’s talk through this one step at a time -You bought the wrong kind of heavy cream -You misunderstood the directions given to you -You chose to watch shows instead of trying to find out why it didn’t work not once but twice. Yet somehow the other guy is the problem and an idiot?
I know what went wrong here. He missed a couple of steps. When buying the heavy whipping cream, you take a few steps over to the butter section, look for the container labeled "Spreadable Whipped Butter" and put THAT in your shopping cart. And what's with calling people names like that?
Dude, have a sense of self awareness. You shake it like you are afraid you are gonna hurt it. It has to be shaken hard. Doing it that way is pretty common way to make butter, and it works. Its fair that you failed, but don't call the guy an idiot when you are the one who failed
You gotta shake it HARD. The way you was shaking it, it would take a Loooong Time to turn it into butter, probably like an hour and 30 minutes. You gotta shake it like you're throwing a football 50 years, just don't let go 😂
I made butter like 40 years ago in kindergarten as a fun sort of activity, and even from that long ago I remember you needed to shake that stuff for a long, long time, and vigorously at that.
Middle schoolers in home ec would tell you that churning butter is NOT a lie and that the guy's recipe was fine jack!!!😂😂😂 you gotta shake it more or get a butter churn big boy. These middle schoolers are making you look weak😅😂😂
When I saw him shaking the jar I knew he wouldn't get butter. I make it all the time with my children you need more energy. You have to apologize for calling the guy an idiot especially after reading all your comments!
Yeah very simple explanation for why you ended up with salty whip cream. Because that's what you made. Barely moving a jar around for any amount of time will not get you butter, but shaking the crap out of it will. How the heck do you think butter is made?
It works you really have to shake the shiz out of it if your reference to my video i dont know but keep shaking it will start to come together you will see 😊
I can’t believe you would make these rude comments while wearing a Newsboys shirt. This is extremely un-Christlike behavior, and you should apologize for it. It doesn’t matter how frustrated you are, calling someone an idiot is no way to act with anyone. From one brother in Christ to another, in love, please repent.
My man is too thick to shake whipped cream strong enough but blames the other dude. Do you not know what shaking means? You handled the jar like you were afraid to crush it lol.
It's easier to get butter if oyu whip the cream past the point of it being whip cream. If you just keep whipping it it'll eventually turn grainy then all the buttermilk will separete and you will have pure butter. For the recorsd 5 minutes before I'm writing this comment I tried the glass jar strategy, it worked in around 4 minutes but I had to be very vigorous, on top of that I made sure not to fill the jar more than half way.
Mister Jack, Kroger whipping cream has added ingredients that make it take longer or not work at all. Redo this with 100% pure heavy cream. It will work. I do it all the time Mister Jack.
I thought that was whipped cream. It certainly looked like it. Maybe try, just heavy cream, not heavy - whipping cream. I heard that heavy cream makes butter. If you pour it into a bowl and beat it with a mixer. But that's just what I heard. I'm not sure. 👍
Thank you, Jack! I finally learned how to make butter. My granny said it tasted nice! Can you teach us how to make ice cubes next, cause i always fail. Thank u in advance.
You really got the beat the life of it for a while for it to separate and become butter. Best to add the salt after making the butter for better salt control. Another flop from Abusing With Jack Show.
Use Heavy Cream not whipping cream and don't get an off or store brand. Shake it more vigorously to cause it to separate and form the butter and it will be a tint of yellow. If you don't want to do that, for another video you should get one of those small table top churns (jar with a stick in the lid) and churn it that way like people do with large floor churns. If you want to do crazy stuff, put it in some kind of metal container (not glass) and get you a paint shaker and watch the butter magic. Don't forget you can add herbs or garlic to the butter.
I've made homemade butter using the shake method. It works. You didn't shake it hard enough, long enough, and/or had the wrong type of cream. Not all heavy creams are made equally. Although, I just say that I find homemade butter to be rather bland. It's much easier and tastier to just buy butter.
The man isn’t an idiot. Chances are the man in the video is using pasteurized whipping cream, you are using what looks like Kroger Brand Ultra-pasteurized whipping cream. You need to keep shaking it (vigorously) longer. Or you can actually use a mixer/beater on it. If you haven’t thrown it out, that is what I suggest. It will get stiffer then break down into yellow butter. In America we unfortunately have a love for ultra pasteurized whipping cream. If you were to make Clotted Cream, using ultra pasteurized makes a runnier clotted cream and homemade butter takes longer to beat.
It takes as long as it takes. I did this as a teacher every year. Sometimes it took 45 minutes. You can also use a hand blender or mixer and it will work just fine. You also may have to squeeze out the Whey with a cheesecloth. He probably had yellow, because he had fresh cream.
You did shake it long enough. I make it all the time in a Mason jar you stopped shaking it at the whip cream stage you will know when it's Butter you will feel it break into Butter
That is not butter at all is whipped cream you need to whip it more although the jar method I found is a bit more time consuming would recommend using a bowl with a wisk or a stand mixer or beaters but you’ll know it’s butter when it splits and you have butter solid and the butter milk that separates the butter milk is good to use aswell great for pancakes😁

Ironically, Jack is the embodiment of the sin of Pride (You could make an argument for all seven, but I think Pride fits him best)

He also shook it very lightly, which obviously got him nowhere
Over a decade of youtube, 4 strokes, 1 heart attack, still not smart enough to read. Gotta love jack, truly an exemplar of the male physique.
He had a heart attack? When?
Why would you even post this. As a tip, if you have a stand mixer, it's much easier.
Or even a food processor would work. I make homemade peanut butter and pecan butter from it.
