Why does your intro have to be funny AND catchy. Whenever I'm at work thinking about my bike I end up thinking about the parts I'm going to install, which invariably leads to thinking about some of your install videos. Next thing I know I'm sitting there "riding dad youtube channel, it's the RIDING DAD RUclips... GOD DAMMIT"! Then I can't get it out of my head lol.
I've been running Leather Pros bags (leather) for about a year and a half now and love them. I've never had any water intrusion although I'm sure Leather pros doesn't advertise them as water proof; other than a monsoon I can't image the inside getting wet. Since I'm pretty much a fair weather rider in my old age I've never worried about it. The only thing about them I want or need to change is to black out the hardware.
I'm always a fan of no bags on cruisers, I totally get going quick detach to show off the epic powder coating! Will it be a blue seat? It's going to be blue wont it?
Lol. I’m waiting to get some more miles before I do a review on it but I have a black carbon fiber with blue stitching Saddlemen explorer seat for two up riding. After I break that in and I like it and my tail of the dragon trip this year is passed, I’ll probably send my SDC pro in to get a recover and probably the same thing. Too much blue I think would look cheesy so I’ll probably just do the stitching. I don’t know if you saw on Instagram or if I even posted but I did my dash in that same blue color now also. So I don’t want it to be too much
As an owner of an original T-Sport(FXDXT), I’ve always liked this style, it gives you carrying capacity & the ability to run “naked”. Looks great, enjoy!👍🏻😎
I noticed you mentioned water, I sprayed moly leatherpros down with scotch guard Sun and water shield, I rode 20 or so miles through a storm the other day, everything inside was bone dry.
Sweet!! They really omens that 303 protectant which I have. Supposedly good for repealing water. I’ll find out soon enough lol. If it doesn’t work I’ll use scot h guard. I’ve been hearing from a lot of guys that they use scotch guard
I run locking leather bags by leather pro's on my 08 fatboy and i think you have to relocate the stock turn signals back with a kit i think so don't quote me cause the dealer installed. But leather pro's on their advertising video had someone stand on the bags mounted on the bike. So they carry a lot..
Yeah that was always my understanding as well. But the directions said different so maybe they use universal directions or something changed. Who knows!
Lol my videos are filmed months in advance so I don’t screw up my upload schedule. Those bags have been sold for probably a month and a half already lol. Gotta follow me on Instagram to get all the current updates!!!
Did I miss the link to the protectant spray for the ballistic nylon? Also do they work for sure with stock exhaust? I unfortunately can’t afford a stage one 2 into 1 yet. Have my signals relocated already. Thanks!
I’m not sure about stock exhaust comparability. I would reach out to leather pros directly for that question. And nope, that was my bad. I didn’t post it. But it’s just the 303 aerospace protectant. I actually haven’t even used it yet. I’ve used scotch guard at the recommendation of a buddy and they’ve been holding up good so far
$750+ in you only get an inside mounting lock that looks like it can be picked with a paperclip??? Don't get me wrong there's no 100% secure saddlebag out there but at least throw in a zipper lock or something additional so my goods are somewhat protected when weekend store hopping....🤣🤣🤣
Zippers can be broken in to with a regular pen in about 1 second. So that won’t matter at all. The inner lock is a man actual key. Much more secure that the majority of saddlebag locks currently on the market
@RD I feel ya. Im still at the crossroads. I like the low profile of the bags but securing my goods it more important then the looks. Hard decisions.. thx for the vid!!!
Yeah I get it man. That’s the ultimate decision that led me to the hard bags in the very beginning. But my priorities in my luggage situation have changed which have allowed me to do this now
Hey man, it’s all right, different strokes for different folks. No issues with you not liking my current set up or not liking anything else I have. We can all build our bikes to the way that we like them. I personally have always liked the Leather Pros. If I had a big faring upfront I would have kept hard bags or even purchased bigger bags, but I really like the Leather Pros for low profile

😂😂😂that was the goal man!!! I’m proud of many things in my life but that intro is definitely on the top 5!!!!

That’s awesome to know!!! I haven’t got caught in the rain with them yet
@@RidinDad The leather may be more water resistant than the nylon; don't know. I've actually never even seen the nylon bags in person.
We will find out lol. I’ve heard guys say the nylon is water resistant and then other guys say that the interior gets drenched so who knows
Great video! Simple and to the point!
Thanks!
I picked up a pair a couple months back and its definitely well worth the money! great video as always!
Absolutely!! Thanks man!

Yes! It’s a best of both worlds things! Thanks man!
love the look of these bags. glad you took of the other bags they look horrible. love the channel keep up the good work
Haha I liked them but these I e always loved the looks of for sure! Thanks!!

Defently the best Bags !!!!!!
Agreed!
@@RidinDad Easy to fix, much more Space as in original Bagger Bags and just perfect on my Clubstyle Bike.
Completely spot on. They’re super high quality too
Ohhh had no idea of the adjusters .
Yupp good addition to ensure proper fit at all times
Lol I just did the same but swapped in reverse. Both bags are super nice.
Absolutely. Both companies have a great product!!
@RidinDad hey friend, how did you get the blue letters on your tank? I'm doing a red setup and i can't find any info on how people do it
I just replied to your other comment but it was a pinstriper
Great review, and the silly kazoo music is hillarious.
Thanks man!

No issue with the RWD reservoir? I do have a spacer to put the belt guard back on so just wondering about the space between the bag and the reservoir.
Nope. Worked fine with the bags completely
Thank you!
Looks good ! I have leather pros now .. but thinking of hard bags . Are you selling them ?
I was. But they’ve sold lol. My videos are recorded way in advance. I e had these bags for like 2 months already
Lol aww man ok …. Good stuff man .. we are still waiting to hear the new exhaust.
I know :( I promise it is coming I swear lol. I just had so many videos to get out for installs I needed to finish
I appreciate it man
I’m tired of my tbr megaphone
Shorty pipe
I’m ready to hear the feedback on the longer pipe you have . Thanks man !
It’s not super long compared to the tbr honestly. The tbr’s make good power even though everyone talks crap about them.
Lemme buy those old ones!!

@@RidinDad cool man. Yeah getting ahold of Leather Pro was going to be my next step. And thank you for the info.
No problem!
So…. Curious why you didn’t show us a wide angle shot to see what they looked like
Cause google image exists I guess? Idk. Didn’t think it was very important honestly
Leather ones are Fuckn A great!!! great video Unfourntely install isn't always that easy...
Why not? What would make the install more complicated ?
I got a brand new set for sale $600 shipped in the lower 48...Fit all M8 softail except breakout & Fat boy...
Are you advertising on my video? Lol
@@RidinDad who me nah...lol
Lol
Thanks for the review. BTW, you look great. You look like you dropped weight. Planning on a MMA career? Lol. Thanks for the great content.
Lol nah, no mma for me. But I did lose about 50 lbs. thanks!!!

I'm not trying to be negative here, but I don't know why these are so popular they're fucking HIDEOUS. Should've kept the bags you had IMO
